anyone knows if this is the youngest ever a solo artist nabbed two #1s? :jonny:

I'm sure Stevie wonder is but let's check to see if she's the youngest female. Maybe billboard's article will include that record

5 debuts in the top 10. 4 from King Jermaine 1 from new pop princess Olivia.

Has there been 5 debuts in the top 10 before???

Poor Dua.

Kudos to female rapper Doja cat for maintaining the top 10 spot for so long and holding it down. A hit. I hope it repeaks after the BBMAs performance and when some of J cole's songs fall out of the top 10

I'm enjoying this movement in the top 10. Finally something interesting.

Stevie only had one #1 in the 1960s surprisingly, and at 13 years old.

2 other songs peaked #2. He got his 2nd #1 at 21 years old with "Superstition"

hmm so maybe Olivia outsold then unless one of those teen idols back in the day did it.

Is the girls that sang It's my party and I'm sorry so sorry the same girl and did her songs go #1?

Maybe one of the girls from the 60s did it.

Monica has 3 #1s before turning 19 I think

- The Boy Is Mine

- The First Nignt

- Angel of Mine

Cardi passing the torch to Olivia.

Olivia and Cardi need to collab. Pay it forward

Didn’t Drake do it?

I’m confused as surely his first six studio albums went to #1 (unless they’re counting a random mixtape that didn’t?).

Also, whey are they highlighting solo. It’s such an arbitrary point to make in this case. :rip:

Also, what about Kanye West?

Nonetheless, congrats. :clap3:

They're referring to studio albums lol. Drake has 9 #1's on the Billboard 200. 5 of them are from his 5 studio albums, while the remaining 4 are from side projects (IYRTITL/WATTBA/More Life/Care Package).

That's right.  I don't know how old the boybands were back in the day maybe they were 17 and racking up #1s who knows but Olivia is in good company.

Looks like she'll break this record

This and Kanye west debut album went to #2 due to Usher's Confessions. Usher blocked Janet and Kanye during his run.

No one expected Yeah! to make his album sell 1M first week and then the decline wasn't big so he blocked them.

Didn't even realize Drake's new era is going to give him his 10th #1 album

Dark Lane Demo Tapes would have been his 10th #1 on the Billboard 200 if Kenny Chesney didn't bastardize the use of bundles to secure himself a #1 debut instead.

Stevie's scored his first #1 at 13 in 1963, but didn't go #1 again until 1973 (twice that year with Superstition and You Are The Sunshine of My Life). He peaked at #2 twice in the 60's with I Was Made To Love Her (1967) and For Once In My Life (1968)

But even then, I think Tiffany might be the youngest to score 2 #1 hits with I Think We're Alone Now and Could've Been (1987-1988).

I mean everyone was scamming back then. I understood Kenny's because he's a legacy act and having a #1 in 3 decades like Queen Britney, Janet, Madonna (who have #1 singles and albums in 3 decades - plug plug) is a great feat for albums. If only the release dates were planned apart and not together.

It'll be better his new era gives him a 10th #1 anyways.

She has a song that debut on the charts last year so they are using "proper" singles as a goal post move. A debut is a debut. Driver's license was not her debut.

She's breaking enough records they don't need to pretend it's her first 3 songs to chart.

THAT"S WHO IT WAS. Tiffany the red headed girl.

I thought maybe it was one of those teen girls from the 50s/60s the It's my party I can cry if I want to girl.

Lmao, Lesley Gore could've actually done it, It's My Party went #1 when she was 17, and You Don't Own Me would've gone #1 if it wasn't for Beatlemania, it peaked at #2 behind I Want To Hold Your Hand ( :toofunny3: )

Also there's Debbie Gibson, who I'm pretty sure scored her 2 #1 hits at around 18 as well.
