Once again, tribal immunity is up for grabs... TWO tribes will win, while the third will be going to tribal council. The highest scorer on each tribe will also receive immunity. Let’s get started! The theme for Round 6 is... Can't You Look At Me? "I'm right here..." This round, we are going for something that is hopefully a little bit more broad than the previous round! You will be sending songs where someone is expressing frustrations that their lover is not giving them enough attention. Their frustration can come out in various manners... whether it's lamenting why they even bother trying... or perhaps they provide examples of trying to salvage the relationship and capture their attention again. The more descriptive the frustration, the better your score will be. The key here is to make sure that the reason they are frustrated is because their lover seems to be disinterested in them. Here is the definition of frustrated: Quote frus·trat·ed /ˈfrəˌstrādəd/ adjective feeling or expressing distress and annoyance, especially because of inability to change or achieve something. What To Do: Once your song is selected, PM both of the hosts the artist and title of your song on Discord in our group DM. You don't have to include a link to the song unless you are sending a specific version of it. There's no explanation needed as your song should speak for itself. If your song requires an explanation to make sense, it's not a good fit. There are many of you playing this game. You guys are bound to submit the same songs at some point and because no one can occupy the same song, we encourage you to send a back-up choice along with your first pick. This applies especially to those who are not around when a round is posted and don't have the luxury of choosing an instant track. IMPORTANT NOTE: ONCE YOU SEND A SONG THAT IS AVAILABLE, YOUR CHOICE IS LOCKED AND YOU MAY NOT SWITCH. AGAIN, YOU CANNOT SWITCH SONGS. IF SOMEONE TAKES YOUR SONG FIRST, THAT IS WHEN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SUBMIT A NEW ONE, SO PLEASE SUBMIT A BACK-UP. Take Into Consideration: The panel will judge the audio/lyrics of the track you submit. Music videos will not increase or decrease your score as some music video plots differ from a song's true meaning. The theme is what is important here. You will not receive a low score because you sent in a song one of the judges does not like. Taste will at the most be the difference between an 8.5 or a 9. We will never dock off multiple points based off mere preference. The song you choose should display the meaning upfront. An interview with your artist clarifying the meaning of the song will not be taken into consideration. Judging Scale (May Vary By Judge): 9/10 – Great entry. Track displays the theme given head on. 8 – Good entry. Displays theme well but not as well as others. 7 – Okay entry. Fits decently but is missing something overall. 6 – Somewhat tackles the theme but falls flat. 5 – Track mentions theme but is otherwise off–base. 3/4 – Song does not hit the theme given besides a line or two. 1/2 – Song has to do with a completely different subject than the theme. We will supply an example for each round for you all to take inspiration from. Obviously no one can select this song as their entry. The example for this round is a classic: "Right Here" by Zara Larsson. Throughout this track, Zara describes how her boyfriend is not paying attention to her anymore. Their relationship has stagnated, and even though she has tried to put in the effort to capture his attention again, nothing seems to be working. She keeps reminding him that she is "right here" but he seems pre-occupied with his phone and other hobbies/distractions. Her frustration comes out in various ways -- whether she's "naked at dinner" to get his attention, or lamenting "why do I even try?" You can tell that she is very disappointed and frustrated that she can't capture his interest anymore. _______________________________________________________ The TWO tribes with the highest average scores will be safe this round, meaning that the losing tribe will attend tribal council. Remember that the highest scoring member of the losing tribe will be immune at tribal council. Your song submissions are due in 23.5 hours (9 PM ET) on Monday, May 10th. This was a really solid entry to me. Not bad, not bad! thecptz - 7.5 - this is an interesting entry. I feel like the emotion is really there and i liked how she went in a LOT like it rlly made my listening experience enjoyable. It fits the theme but i wish the english translation is a bit better? Cause i found it a bit confusing in the video you provided. clue - 8 - Pretty much everything was there. supaspaz - 6 - These translated lyrics don’t fully make sense to me, but as best I can tell, this song is more about a relationship at a crossroads of commitment. She wants her boyfriend to take things seriously or she’s moving on. She definitely sounds frustrated, though. Better Off Alone - Alice DJ Astro - 6 - thecptz - 6 - lmao this is even more confused.. Like pls. The brief said if the track gives like detailed frustration, the better the scores. But this.. This is like a generic edm track with repetitive lyrics that rlly doesn’t tell much story here. At least, it’s not off-base. clue - 6 - Now you know damn well we need more lyrical content. At its heart, this is what we asked for. But I personally needed way more details. supaspaz - 7 - I’m cackling. I mean, I guess it fits! Not this getting slammed as a generic EDM track, though. Imagine willingly exposing your ignorance of ‘90s dance classics like that. The Way You Don’t Look At Me - Demi Lovato Astro - 9 - Chile the way I hid the fro-yo before this entry 'ause I didn't want her to pull a Samara and crawl out my screen to beat my ass. I swear to god, I looked at the menu and Demi called and said "Seven Days." But I didn't care cause I wanted my fro-yo. Anyway. The song is on theme, I just wish the verses were as strong as the chorus is. You tried though, and tried hard. So you did good. Congratulations. Please don't make me endure another Demi song again, thank you x thecptz - 9 - whew okay so this hits. I would’ve liked it to be a bit stronger like other judges have mentioned but this is still a great entry and a cute song. She’s frustrated. She deserves the love! clue - 9.5 - I would’ve liked stronger verses, but this is good. supaspaz - 9.5 - Not gonna give the Bigg Chill hater any coins with a stream, but I’m reading the lyrics on Genius and they seem on point. Madea's Family Reunion. thecptz - 10 - perfect. clue - 10 - You went the route of “perhaps they provide examples of trying to salvage the relationship and capture their attention again.” Very good pick. supaspaz - 9 - This is in the general realm of the theme, but doesn’t quite connect with the notion of suffering from a lack of attention. Other than the reference to being deserted, Beyoncé seems frustrated that her partner is indifferent to her pain, rather than ignoring her altogether. What Have You Done For Me Lately - Janet Jackson Astro - 9.5 - YES HUNNY, I LOVE YOU, YOU DID MORE THAN FINE! But really, this is a solid entry. She dragged him for filth with how frustrated she is!! thecptz - 10 - yay janet yay a 10 giggles. Anyways, i think this is a great pick for this theme. He’s neglecting her.. She gets back to him in a song! Exactly miss jackson! clue - 9.5 - I wish it had a LITTLE bit more about them not paying attention to her personally in the relationship instead of just general laziness, but it’s still really good. supaspaz - 10 - Again? I can feel that she’s trying so hard just to maintain their relationship but it’s just not happening because its one-sided sobs... clue - 10 - YUP. supaspaz - 9 - This is for my peoples who just lost somebody — your best friend, your baby, your man or your lady — put your hand way up high, we will never say bye. You Don't Bring Me Flowers - Barbra Streisand Astro - 9.5 - Yeah, this is a solid entry. Good job! thecptz - 9 - i like how detailed this is. Its very simple but it did the job. We, as the listeners, knew that their relationship is ending. Whew it’s sad. clue - 10 - Perfect. supaspaz - 8 - “When you just roll over and turn out the light…” Whew, talk about tragic scenes from married middle age! This is a really interesting interpretation of the theme, but it loses points because neither narrator is frustrated by the lack of attention they show each other anymore. Both are resigned to the fact that the relationship is at an end. They just don’t know how to tell each other goodbye. Why Don't You Love Me - Beyoncé Astro - 10 - She better have got the grits out for this one cause.... Mmhmm. You know what I'm getting at. thecptz - 10 - ooooh this is FIRE! I feel like you all really served this round and this song fits the theme and its a bop too! clue - 10 - Perfect. supaspaz - 9 - She dragged his ass for filth. Unappreciated - Cherish Astro - 9.5 - Wait holy **** I forgot about this song sdkjsdg. This was a bop back in the day. But anyway, onto the main topic! Lyrically, you did what you had to DO this round. Classic tho. thecptz - 10 - yay i’m just giving 10s out like its fun~ but i think you deserved a 10. This song tells how the singers felt underappreciated by the lack of attention their lover had and it’s frustrating. clue - 10 - Perfect. supaspaz - 10 - Sadly, the story of Cherish’s career. Notice Me - Alli Simpson Astro - 8 - It's... Okay. She's frustrated, which is good, but I also am unsure if it's like, an unrequited crush, or if they're in a relationship and the subject isnt paying attention to them. Idk. thecptz - 6 - i see this as an unrequited crush instead of them being in relationship. Like yeah, good for her to try to make her crush notice? But the main thing for this theme is that they need to be in relationship. clue - 8 - It’s good. Not a whole lot of details for me though. supaspaz - 5 - Way off. Sure, she’s trying to catch her crush’s attention, but this round is about relationships where one partner is neglecting the other. Miyake results coming!

Gary Lightbody) - Taylor Swift luckystrike Please Look At Me - Dagny Stevie Stanley - Jazmine Sullivan Rare - Selena Gomez Astro - 9.5 - Now wait, why am I shocked at Selena Whispermez doing this good in a round??? Good job and all that jazz cuz it’s on theme, but girl I forgot she released Rare. Like, it just slipped my damn mind like it did hers tbh. thecptz - 10 - god i remembered the first time i heard this song and i rlly liked it.. I think its still my favorite from that album. And this is like what we asked for, serving right here yup! Selena is frustrating and the verses told us very well why. clue - 10 - Couldn’t ask for more. supaspaz - 9.5 - Lyrically, this is one of the best entries in the bunch. I love how it carries the extra level of being a self-empowerment anthem — Selena is upset not just that she is being ignored, but that she is being treated like less than she thinks she deserves. I just wish she was serving us that frustration (or really any emotion) in her vocals. The Last Time (feat. Gary Lightbody) - Taylor Swift Astro - 5.5 - Okay. I see what you tried to do here, especially because the chorus is basically on point with how frustrated they both are. However, aside from that, this song is lyrically two people who keep failing when trying to be in a relationship, and it's essentially a plea to sink forever or finally learn to swim. A shame that the verses don't line up too well with the theme because it is a heartbreaking song. thecptz - 4 - see sending taylor swift song would be scored great if u actually do the one that fits the theme and this is not? Idk.. its confusing. It’s not what i thought i would get from this song and reading the lyrics, i was trying to understand why you chose this song but i still don’t understand how it fits the theme. clue - 5.5 - This kinda got confusing to me with the two narratives coming together. Also I just feel like it’s about being tired of breaking up and getting back together. Outside of the “put my name at the top of your list” part, I didn’t see anyone getting neglected. Maybe I’m off base. supaspaz - 1 - I’m not hearing a connection to the theme at all. This is about an on-again-off-again couple giving each other an ultimatum. Seems like the luck finally ran out for choosing Taylor tracks for these challenges. Please Look At Me - Dagny Astro - 9 - This is a great and solid entry. I think it tackles what we're asking for perfectly. thecptz - 10 - yup, love miss dagny, love this album. Its not only a bop but it also fits the theme amazingly. She just wants to do everything -- it can be fighting just to ask him to pay attention to her again. Whew… so frustrating! grr! clue - 10 - Perfect. supaspaz - 9 - Almost perfect on the surface. But there’s an undercurrent here that the relationship is dying because Dagny and her partner are growing apart. The lack of attention isn’t the point; it’s a symptom of the romantic rot. Stanley - Jazmine Sullivan Astro - 10 - I don't think I need to say anything other than HELL YEAH. Because WHEW, you got this **** DONE Miss Thang!! thecptz - 10 - oh wow another perfect entry for this round. Literally amazing job here. clue - 10 - Not this CLASSIC. Totally on the nose. supaspaz - 10 - This could have been written for this round. Final results coming!
