Well it's that time of year again  to share my favourite musical moments! Let's see if I actually follow through with it all.

Mezik's 'Best of 2020' - Country Song of the Year

*For the best country song that was released as a single between December 1st, 2019 - December 1st, 2020*

This was easily the hardest category for me to narrow down to five songs. I love country music, and love how the real-rooted, meaningful artists in this genre are able to connect to the listener on a whole other level. The songs selected I feel are universal in their message, as well as have a way of evoking memories and feelings that many people can feel. Whether it be about first love, realities of life, or an ode to home, I believe these five songs below best represented the country genre for 2020.

Cam - 'Till There's Nothing Left'

Mezik's 'Best of 2020' - Country Album of the Year

*For the best country album released between December 1st, 2019 and December 1st, 2020.*

Admittedly, 2020 was not a year I got to listen to as many albums as I would have liked and as a result the selection was very minute among the albums I did listen too. I recognize that some fantastic country albums are missed, but these are the collections that got me through 2020. Here are the five albums that I hope may have gotten you through 2020 from the country sphere.

Cam - 'The Other Side'

Cassadee Pope - 'Rise and Shine'

Chris Stapleton - 'Starting Over'

Mezik's 'Best of 2020' - Throwback Song of the Year

*For a song that is 5+ years old that was played in high frequency during 2020.*

This category is always a fun one for me. I love reflecting on the year's best music, but I also love looking back at the oldie's that played a huge role in the year. Generally if a song was played a lot it means that it meant something to me during the year and represented something that occurred, other times it means that it's just a bop I discovered late. Nonetheless, take a step back in time with the nominees for throwback song of the year.

Alicia Keys - 'Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)'

Carrie Underwood - 'Two Black Cadillacs'

Kylie Minogue - 'On a Night Like This'

Sade - 'Soldier of Love'

Stacie Orrico - '(There's Gotta Be) More to Lie'

Mezik's Best of 2020

So, I realized my goal of having semi-appropriate graphics ain't happening. But thank you everyone thus far for the comments. These were kind of just the 'pre-show' categories. :duca: The next few categories will have more descriptions/content/reasons in it.

Thanks - @Insanity, @jpow, @potent, @JGibson, @gagacasanova
