this would be the 3rd time in BB history that 2 tracks debuted at the top 2 positions

2002:

1. Clay Aiken - This Is the Night

2. Rubben Studdard - Flying Without Wings

2015:

1. Adele - Hello

2. Justin Bieber - Sorry

2020:

1. Ariana - positions

2. Luke Combs - Forever After All

So positions actually deserves the spot rightfully because if it's even the "pAYolA" that doesnt mean radio wouldnt even play the song by themself. Someone like Ariana even without radio adds from the label, would still got a few Mil airplay so :clap3:

you do know that payola means also streaming and high playlisting?

Glad Ari got the #1, but I’ve never even heard a Luke Combs song, nor do I really even know who he is, but if that song’s really an album track and not a single then that’s actually super impressive.

How is an album track doing so well? Is it viral on something?

He promoted it for ages on TikTok. It's less of an "album track" and a track he teased for ages to promote the recently release deluxe re-issue of his album, I believe, effectively acting as the lead of the deluxe re-issue.

Good for Ari. :clap3:

playlisting is similar to advertising than payola is it not?

what is difference to paying to play your song on radio and paying to spotify to put a song on plyalist? both are advertising or payola, whatever you call it
