Thanks for the response. :date2:

Another question:

Which of these songs have the greatest potential to be a future #1 hit?

-Water Under The Bridge

-Love On The Brain

-I Feel It Coming

-That's What I Like

Grammys Under The Bridge is not going #1 for three reasons mainly:

1. She's not going to release a video for it.

2. She's going to perform "Hello" over this at the Grammys.

3. It's a fourth single from an album that has already sold 9,2M copies in the US.

I just HOPE that somehow it gets to sell 1M copies... But that's just me reaching for the stars...

So, Alessia is performing as I write this, can someone see if shes high on iTunes (I dont know how to see those things :cries:)

They also did an ad of the song and the album, I dont know if every artist does this, but I hope it helps even more :duca:

It would also have to get out of the 80s/90s on Spotify

Yeah, but that's part of my point when I said 9,2M copies of 25 have been sold... Like, if you have the song in the CD, why are you gonna go and stream it on Spotify? A music video on VEVO would help her streaming points way better. But then again, that's not happening.

I realize that too. But the amount of effort it takes to buy a song doesn't matter when we're talking about consumption. Like I said, if someone listens to a song, they are consuming it. It doesn't matter how they're listening to it– whether it be through FM radio or their iPod or their Spotify client.

i think this is rather disingenuous. i very strongly support streaming but i think it's unfair to compare it with sales in this manner (consumption). when you stream a song, you use 1 unit of consumption (the directly measurable stream), which you can do more than once and it is monitored by the streaming service. however when you buy a song you are making a monetary commitment that gives you the potential to play that song from one time up until infinity, buying a song almost guarantees you will play it at least once, with a potential for many more undocumented plays, whereas each individual stream is counted on its own. therefore it's understandable that sales  are given higher weighting and that as a means of consumption they are considered more significant and not equal with a stream, not because of the effort involved, but because of the inherent potential to consume that song multiple times (which indicates that a song is definitely popular). while this can't be directly monitored, it still is a convincing reason as to why the two forms of consumption should not be considered as equal ways of measuring popularity (it DOES matter how they're listening to it).

Will any of these 3 singles reach the top 10/40 in the long run?

-I Got You by Bebe Rexha

-Words by Daya

-Issues by Julia Michaels

P.S. This thread has been my most visited one, back to when I was just a guest.

"Issues" by Julia Michaels could do it easily, same thing with "I Got You" by Bebe Rexha.

I'm also sure, that "Issues" will become the second "Gold" by Kiiara.

If "Words" by Daya breaks through [the] Billboard Hot 100, I'll be very surprised.

so aggravating that she isn't picking up well on spotify. it's doing ok on itunes staying in the 40s but she needs more airplay and streams in order to get a top 10 hit

If Rihanna performs at the grammys then drop the music video right after.

Then LOTB is still not going #1.... Come on

LOTB going number #1 would be a better choice than any of the contenders right now. I'm tired of mumble-rappers and bubblegum candy corn pop dominating. :cries:

Rihanna could go if video is really good or controversy and if the performance from Grammy will be uploaded right after on her VEVO (with official music video), then she could have a shot. Also LOTB add to Hot Tracks on itunes and that playlist on spotify would help.

But none of this things will happen, mark my words

if this happened it could go at least top 4 though right? top 3 is kind of impregnable atm

Rihanna has the worst team out of all pop girls, even a Grammy performance sounds like a reach at this point :gaycat2:
