HELLO TOP 6!

So, as we're moving past the solar system, we don't know what type of structure these other systems will have!
So I guess it is time for to experiment and try to figure it out...

 

For this week's challenge, you'll have to write a song with no structure! So say goodbye to that
conventional verse + (pre)chorus + bridge stuff, cause we're moving far away from it!

You'll have to write a song that has no repeated sections! Of course you can repeat a couple of words,

but just not in a way where it feels like a chorus or hook.

 

You can write about anything you want, just follow the requirements for this challenge.
This is pretty simple in theory, but you have to use this challenge in favor of the story you're creating
so it makes sense and benefits your song.

 

 

You will have until Thursday, December 17 to submit your entry for this challenge.

(looking back I actually think we could do a lot better, but that was almost 4 years ago so a lot has changed of course. It was probably not the best circumstances really, you had the pressure of the competition and writing another song too, not to mention LIFE, and I was subtly or not so subtly going through a breakdown at university so that was lit. It had such a sweet sentiment though and we got dragged through the MUD when it really wasn’t that bad . I still appreciate it fondly nevertheless )

 

let me address this now n I actually agree; I do think it was not as bad as people made it out to be but I do think that it could've been a lot better. Uhh, I think we've grown and have found our own styles so maybe if we tried to write that song today it would've been a lot better. Honestly your current take on humanitarian songs (I W t M W F C a G) is very interesting and extremely thought provoking. And I remember thinking, when I was reading it, "oh wow this is a thousand times better than the song we did together"

Smashed my phone screen today, had a protector on but it broke through it and now there are rainbow lines running down the screen and I can’t see anything

I actually do oddly enjoy writing on my phone... you would think it wouldn’t be very practical, but it works for me for some reason. I’m not sure how much the time I spent writing is split between my phone or my laptop really, but this shouldn’t make a difference at all. Although if I do badly I will happily accept this as an excuse.
