Fruity Posted September 11, 2020 Share Posted September 11, 2020 finding this banner every round is so annoying nn Everytime We Touch: difficult not to like this, a big big big euro bop Lovely: i didn't expect to enjoy this but i kind of did?!!!! quite intriguing, however i'm not surprised other reviews are a bit offended considering the bastardising of the original In Your Eyes: it's kind of cool and sultry. not much more to say. i like it! Sea of Love: thanks i hate it, very amateur and the acoustic guitar sounds awful to me Your Song: this relies heavily on her voice, which i don't really love, so. it's not bad though, this cover could've easily been terrible, but it stands up. it was kind of bold from her tbh Killing Me Softly With His Song: very beautiful but well, you know what's coming! Girls Just Want To Have Fun: have always truly despised this song, it's just SO SO annoying. it kind of completely kills my mood despite doing the opposite for most nn Waiting For Tonight: whew this production is so SLICK, it's unbelievable how well this stands up Valerie: i was fuming when you beat me to grabbing this one, congrats on the speed!!! it's an all round pretty great song Ancora Ancora Ancora: wow this is quite alluring and wonderful, bold choice and it seems to be paying off?! minho Posted September 11, 2020 Share Posted September 11, 2020 minho reviews!! everytime we touch : a bit of a bop, its definitely dated but for some reason works? lovely : the original is AMAZING, billie is a QUEEN, and one of the best songs of all time, this is definitely inferior. but i don't hate it, its a bop and i would've ranked it well just purely based on the source material f in your eyes : she does not possess the range sea of love : i think this is hard to get into on first listen but its so mesmerizing to me, bop your song : the original is so blah, this cover isn't something i love but its ok i guess killing me softly : this is only ok, never liked it like that girls just want to have fun : feel like this is definitely a song that you think is better than it is. it's fun and all but listening to the actual thing is like... nah waiting for tonight : hmm a bop valerie : this is kind of overrated idk its a decent song but i don't feel anything for it ancora x3 : unique choice, a bit boppy every rose has its thorn : :peep: i don't see it for her i will always love you : it IS a classic, but i prefer the original a lot more, just in its tone and approach to the song. however it doesn't deserve tanking just because its a popular hit ff hanging on : better than the other song but...its just not there for me cause i'm a man : kind of love this? Lovely I quite enjoy this, it's very pretty. Love the production. In Your Eyes she just doesn't have the range [2], this is very boring and uneventful Sea Of Love It's pretty but I also agree it's a tad boring Your Song gorgeous cover Killing Me Softly With His Song This is a very cute song, but the original is superior imo. Definitely not worth the penalty of sending a banned song Girls Just Want to Have Fun what can i say, it's a CLASSIC. Not my absolute favorite thing here, but it's very nice. Waiting For Tonight Eh, i don't care for this much. Valerie YUP YUP YUP, my #1 without a doubt since the minute it was sent. I love this song so much. Ancora Ancora Ancora I appreciate the risk, but this just isn't for me. Not my last place though. Every Rose Has Its Thorn it's the way i was OBSESSED with this when i was a kid. When she said "every rose has its thorn" my 11 y/o self FELT that This is just okay now though. I Will Always Love You I know this is a HUGE classic and I like it but I also feel like this is the weakest out of Whitney's eligible covers this round. Very middle of the road for me this round. Hanging On I personally like the other Ellie cover more, but this is alright.
