I had no idea Electra Heart went number one in the UK. Queen deserved

Primadonna was almost top 10 in the UK (peaked at #11). :jonny:

No. Album debuted at #5 and later peaked at #2.

1 Robbie Williams 126,168
2 One Direction 120,894
3 Gary Barlow 105,344
4 Olly Murs 83,266
5 Beyonce 67,858

Thanks! It seems like it would have come close though!

No, not really. First few days are always the most frontloaded ones. With full week it could've been at #4 tops. Still 15k away with only 3 days... And looking at midweek sales, highly unlikely.

I misspoke earlier though. BEYONCÉ's first week sales were from only two days of tracking in the UK.

It does seem entirely possible that if she could sell 67,858 in just two days, even with a drop in sales throughout the week ... she could have easily gotten to at least #3 with 5 more days of sales.

Anyway, none of this really matters, I just found it surprising that 4 got to #1 but this didn't, though 4 had an actual promotional campaign.

Oh yeah it was actually released on Friday, sorry. Sure she would've debuted higher but top 2 was out of question...

4 was released after IASF, had Glastonbury hype that gave life to 2nd single and was also slow time of the year. Not surprising it did better initially than ST. Thanks to ST 4 had new life and actually sold a lot to become 2xP.

In case you were wondering, this is the week ST peaked at  #2

1 Ellie Goulding 26,456
2 Beyoncé 21,771
3 Gary Barlow 17,069
4 John Newman 15,321
5 Bastille 14,441

Yeah she’ll only be extending her record with every release.

Hopefully she can snatch Elvis and his 66 weeks,  the most for a solo artist.

Adelegend indeed :jonny5:

and GlobalGa's 15 weeks whew :clap3: even if we take away her TF + TFM's weeks at #1, she would still be tied with Beyonce, Madonna and Amy

not bad for a fad, huh? :gaygacat5:

in fact her sales power is hurting her longevity, cuz 25 sold so much so fast that it could've spent more weeks if it was selling less for longer :skull:

OT: Adele and Gaga :jonny6:  whew!

OMG :deadbanana2:

Adele will probably never match Elvis because she takes big breaks, I’d say her peak was bigger than his though.
