Yes it was, its been serviced to xmas radio, has been added to digital AND streaming platforms as a song, has an official audio, has a cover,  had physical vinyl copies released. 

The song is doing great but fans need to stop acting as if it is some sort of random song thats been picked up as it is not the reality :)

It has been sent to holiday radio and gets lots of play. 

A single does not have to have a music video or live performances, stop inventing things, even though it has an official audio !

Platinum Christmas (the random compilation album where MOW came from) had no official singles whatsoever :skull:

The "digital and streaming addition with a cover" happened literally just last year, coinciding with the exclusive and limited release of vinyls. Before that (aspects you're using to call it a single), MOWTY was only available on that Platinum Christmas compilation, yet it had already over 100M streams on Spotify.

My only wish has been on Xmas playlists FOR YEARS and has been played extensively by holiday radio FOR YEARS and was available to purchase on digital platforms in the downloads era FOR YEARS . Also the song is featured on EIGHT other Christmas compilations, not just Platinum Christmas :) Why do you feel the need to deny literal facts ? It is NOT some random album track.

We deserve a performance ! I LOVE this song. I heard it in my local shopping centre today and got my life !!

Like almost every song ever released? Then I guess every song out there is a single!

 

I'm also sure there's more Mariah Christmas songs other than AIWFCIY that got playlisted, yet they're not singles.

 

And I've heard "Queen of Disaster" multiple times on the radio, yet it's an unreleased song by Lana Del Rey. Want to rethink your comment maybe? Of course MOWTY can be played on the radio, it's a Christmas song and it's Christmas time, or are you expecting them to spin only the same 5 popular songs? I'd still like to see your receipts of it receiving extensive radio play, potentially with the official date it was sent to radio, too.

You do realize that My only wish has charted on Billboard Holiday Radio charts as early as 2001 right where it peaked at number 7. 

And also debuted on the Holiday Digital Song Sales like 11 years ago in 2010 and has peaked at 12 there ( in 2020 when it was rereleased)

I've heard it at a store earlier this month. Haven't heard it again out there but its streams this year were amazing. I believe someone said it wouldn't chart at all because it was getting no airplay. :huh:
