It hits the mark, but I wish there was more context to the breakup. kipperskipper - 9 Another great pick! I think it is great for this theme. It’s not a perfect 10 like [REDACTED], but it is up there. thecptz - 8.5 While i love miss dua lipa so much, this is an okay choice for this round. There are parts where she still talks about her ex when the round wants her to talk about herself and how she deals with the break-up. It’s great but there are songs that are much better than this for this round. Alena - Little Mix - The Cure URBAN - 8 Shoutout to My Ex did it better, but this fits the theme. kipperskipper - 8 It def meets the criteria of being hopeful/positive and moving on but is this song about a breakup? I don’t see much direct references to a breakup in the lyrics. I feel like it’s a bit broad and can apply to general hardships. thecptz - 8.5 Oh, this is cute. I mean this is not bad at all, however, there are some songs that hit the theme better than this. Staryu - Kelly Clarkson - Since U Been Gone URBAN - 8 To this date, it’s still a bop, but besides the strong chorus and raw emotion, it lacks context. kipperskipper - 8 I agree that it isn’t 100% on the mark of the theme. The chorus is really all we get about her moving on and it isn’t as strong as some of the other entries. However, it is not bad. It’s like above average. thecptz - 8 OH YES SHE’S MAD. good for her but i’m not sure if in this round, this MAD is what i want from yall. At least, i just want her to show more emotions apart from mad and petty. dussymob - Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) URBAN - 8.5 Another song by Kelly that I LOVE, but to be honest if it wasn’t for the verse: “You heard that I was starting over with someone new…” one would think this song is about anyone who’s hurt her. kipperskipper - 9 I think this is the better Kelly song for this round. It is more optimistic and positive, like what we are looking for. Great job! thecptz - 9.5 YAS the better miss clarkson song indeed! We love an empowerment song. Great job the only straight in this game Touya kinomoto - Beyoncé - Sorry URBAN - 7 She’s mad, but she didn’t move on. kipperskipper - 7.5 The Becky song. Well it’s like half way there. It’s more about her being angry and ignoring him rather than achieving that goal of being happy and better off. I mean i get it sometimes, but not 100% like some other songs. thecptz - 7 OOF she’s mad [2]. I mean she still thinks about him tho which is not kinda moving on right?
