It was a different era of music when songs would climb their way up to #1 and topping the charts inevitably meant having a huge hit. Part of Me was dragged back in the day for being a weak #1, but it still went on to sell 3 million digital copies... and the demo had leaked one year prior! The standards have just lowered a lot.

Yeah. I remember POM sold 520k or something first week and went #1 and it was dragged. Now a song can be 3 weeks at #1 and won’t have done 450k in total

I know. I"m horrible at formatting.

especially now that only LQ gifs work I need to remove most of them and find ones that work.

Geesh, Ariana is just getting started too. I think Rih has at least another 3 in her, Bey can probably get 2 more and Ariana is gonna get at least 5 more.

they should do the same thing to Diana Ross, she will have 18 #1 with The Supremes tied with Mariah #1 solo before AIWFCIY.

Yes I understand that. The OP doesn’t state the methodology of this thread so that’s why I’m asking why Silk Sonic is contributing to Bruno’s total, but not DC to Beyoncé’s. If that’s how Billboard tallies it then that answers my question. Thanks.
