Rusty Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 If features are included for #1 songs, Elton has his own for the 70s and 90s but a feature for the 80s as part of "Dionne & Friends"

Song, the charity version of That's What Friends Are For was in the 80s and went #1 with Dionne, Elton, Gladys Night and Stevie Wonder. He has #1 albums from the 70s and 90s though, so missed the three-decade albums record. His best charting for albums in the missing decades are: #13 - 1980s #4 - 2000s #3 - 2010s He had 7 #1 albums in a row but all 1970s, and then had The Lion King in the 90s as his 8th and last #1 album.
GreatestLoveofAll Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 Whitney in all the decades she was active an icon

slw84 Posted July 31, 2022 Author Posted July 31, 2022 So I'm going to keep this seat warm since HDD essentially has confirmed Beyonce has joined the group but will wait for Billboard official numbers to update the OP
slw84 Posted August 7, 2022 Author Posted August 7, 2022 Beyonce is the 29th artist to attain #1 albums and #1 singles in at least 3 decades. 4th women behind (1st) Janet in 2001, (2nd) Britney in 2011 and 3rd Madonna (2012) 1
slw84 Posted August 7, 2022 Author Posted August 7, 2022 Currently, female artists with #1 albums and singles in at least 3 decades: (1st) - Janet Jackson (2nd) - Britney Spears (3rd) - Madonnna (4th) - Beyonce who do you all think will round out the top 5? Will we get to 10? See OP for options I think Mariah will be the 5th... Gaga, Adele, Ariana, Taylor might take 6th through 9th place but i'm not sure if another female artist can take it. I'm not even sure if half of them can but I'm being optimistic

It's just sad. And somehow only women are called overrated and are way more hated and despised. Well at least, 4 is Bey's favorite number, so slé.

I can see Mariah getting it 5th but afterwards it might be a trek to get the likes of Ariana/Gaga/Taylor/Adele and others to sit at the table Edited August 8, 2022 by slw84
