Not all of us consider that a good thing.

it is  like being told at your job. "The good news is we are hiring double our current staff, that is great as everyone makes money, the bad news is you all get half pay, good luck paying the mortgage, but thanks for taking one for the team"

:michael:

People aren't making that much less and more people are making money. Songwriters are still the only people getting ****ed. Artists are still making BANK. It's like owning a mansion in LA versus San Fran.

+ I wouldn't have a career if not for streaming so :sistrens:

Well #4 sounds about right for I Feel It Comin as its not that big of a hit. Not doing amazing in any component except for radio. LOTB teas :gaycat1:

Then you are biased. And I accept that will taint your view.

However, there are tons of artists hurting because streaming pay rates are too low and their genres are not streamed.

its great you have found a way to do good. I look forward to hearing where your mansion is located, But don't belittle the fact many are hurting.

Major label artists get paid regardless of sales and streams tho. They're not making any significant amount less. I've literally been in the room with Randy Goodman of Sony as he lectured me on this. I held your exact same views until he showed me the numbers and showed me the facts. Artists don't hurt nearly as much as you think they do. Yes they've taken a pay dip. That pay dip doesn't affect 99% of artists. It affects 99% of songwriters who aren't also artists, though.

I'm just a mixing engineer so I don't get paid enough for a mansion but the vast majority of artists who hire me as a mix engineer are most popular on Soundcloud and Spotify :michael:

Trust me as someone who held your views and cares a lot about the industry I understand you entirely and think it's ridiculous how badly some artists are treated - but I disagree with the idea that major label artists are hurting a lot because of this. However in the end, I take the view that I'd rather have more people be able to thrive in the industry with slightly less pay than far less people with more pay  Ofc I'm biased though and I'll admit that wholeheartedly! :D

Honestly, that's a pretty solid top 10, ISpy is a song I have on repeat right now. Cute song. IFIC is amazing and of course Bruno @ #2. I'm gonna need hit to get that #1 though :dancehall:

Pretty good week :clap3:

No, they're literally the problem with mainstream music right now and their lead singers voice is grating to hear. The David Guetta of 2016/2017 Something Like This is only good because Coldplay know how to make bops. :cm:

Humble seems very looked in in a #3 debut.

Body Like A Back Road will probably be #6 next week.

Not sure about the rest without sales predictions.
