By the Water Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Biggest female debuts of the decade: 25 1989 reputation Red Born This Way* Speak Now Lover
Red Velvet Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Sad that she might have been able to do 1million again if she picked a better lead single.
Into The Void Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 People calling it bad when its the best selling album since 2017
yASSsss Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Quote Five #1s This Decade: Lover grants Swift her fifth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 this decade (2010-present). In turn, she ties Lady Gaga for the most No. 1s this decade among women. (Drake has the most No. 1s this decade among all acts, with nine.)

Wondy Lust Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Jesus, she really is one of the biggest stars today
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 These are objectively great and not really clock-able numbers, regardless of her falling below 1M. No one manages to open above 1M forever, and she did it 4 times, which is unprecedented. I do think there are several reasons she fell by about 400K from reputation besides sales declining, though - this era overall was handled very poorly and does not look good for her first new release under a new label. They need to step it up - Taylor can talk **** about BMG now all she wants, but they handled her releases incredibly. It was a partnership for the ages. Whoever chose ME! & Calm as singles to hype the album is a fool. Lover will help the album longevity wise, everyone I know whose heard stans that song and it's an album seller.

dangerousbutera Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 she's doing nearly 900K first week in the 13th year of her career, insane

But please Katykat, we beg of you, tell us how has your fave remained successful for so many years??? Maybe our poor, irrelevant flop fave Taylor can learn something from her? Please don't tell us it's too late! Next thing we know she might start debuting at 86 on BB. Oh, poor swifties, the future is grim for us . I knew I should have always stanned Katy: critical acclaim - check multiple grammys - check monstrous album sales - check stille gets #1 hits - check super successful stadium tours - check not having to sell shoes and star on reality TV for a shred of relevance - check
americanlife Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Beautiful numbers. A sight to see! Proud of her.
