You don't need a rabid fanbase to put effort into packaging. Sure it may be impractical to make four editions of your album, but you can certainly put the effort in to make the standard edition worthy of buying. It isn't that hard

This. Even flop kpop groups with very small fanbases do great packaging. There's no excuses

How is 200K-250K from digital sales alone (with similar physical sales as reputation) "terrible"? That's more than anyone since reputation . They just got that digital sales prediction by factoring the decline of digital sales during rep's release versus present. 200-250k digital sales is a LOT. If it will be available in all streaming services, I don't think she'll get this many digital sales.

Swift does have a strong physical game, partnering with Target, as always, for four exclusive versions. But physical sales are down 30% since Reputation dropped, and it’s not likely those will increase much beyond that album’s total. Her heavily stocked merch store could help offset any losses here.
