Shawn Mendes adding IICHY to the album gave it a boost I suppose

Not for that tracking week, it was just added so I think it will effect it next week?

congrats to him. He did it perfectly legally so the record is rightfully his

Shawn's single bombing on every metric after the first week and only returning to the top 10 bc of radio, tragic

also mess at Talk not really doing all that great anywhere but being #1 on radio for almost two months

The thing is that with streaming, it has become relatively easy for the “song of the summer” to chart at #1 for 10+ weeks.

Thats not to take anything away from his achievement, but we’ll definitely have something challenging the record again next year. I don’t think it’s because it’s this song.

I agree. At the same time, it's really annoying having one song be #1 for multiple weeks in a row, taking up all the space, which has been happening for two years now.

This might be a sign that the current BB Hot 100 formula is reaching its expiration date, or that it's working really well. I don't know which.

Talk is such a safe, easily digestible song though

It would be funny if people would start streaming one sweet day in commemoration of it losing its record only so it can re-gain the record. I mean, where my elitist rock fans at who resent everything current?

Yeah, it's crazy how Khalid became a radio staple so quickly. Between Eastside, Better, and Talk, it's just felt like he's been everywhere this year. He's inoffensive yet distinctive, youthful yet traditional—perfect for radio.

you can't blaming Lil for playing fair game, he knows the rules of Billboard and he uses them. It's billboard's fault that they are doing nothing with remixes thing

also it's not like he is releasing remixes and no one is playing them. ALL OF remixes are huge, not like Billy's version but overall they all are not flopping
