Bad News Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Quote Shallow Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper Peak Position 1
Alessandra Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 To clarify, this one in particular is not a daily chart. This is the official weekly chart ending on June 27th. It explains it on their methodology box: The Rolling Stone Top 100 Songs chart tracks the most popular songs of the week in the United States. Songs are ranked by Song Units, a number that combines audio streams and song sales using a custom weighting system. The chart does not include passive listening, such as terrestrial or digital radio. The Rolling Stone Top 100 is updated daily, and each week Rolling Stonefinalizes and publishes an official version of the chart, covering the seven-day period ending with the previous Thursday. “Top Cities” are regions where a song is performing exceptionally well against the average song in that region. To read more about our methodology, including our weighting practices, visit our General Methodology.

For example, Beerbongs & Bentleys also shows a peak of #7. Yet we know it did over 400K first week so. That was the issue with BuzzAngle (the data supplier of this chart) when they ran their own charts too. There would always be a few songs/albums clearly incorrect on their chart. Last week Money in the Grave wasn't even on their chart the whole release week.

Bad News Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Quote The Rolling Stone 100 keeps track of the most popular songs in the United States each week, counting track streams across the major music-streaming providers as well as digital and physical purchases. It does not count passive listening, such as plays on terrestrial or digital radio. waiT a minute, is radio payola over? Hot 100 found ROTTING

Cannon Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Ugh, more data to go through, a whole new chart system to learn. I don’t know if I’m excited or annoyed by this. I’ll have to check it out more when I get home.

Kyoto Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Quote Can I view each day of data on its own? At the moment you can view either “week to date” chart data or finalized chart data from the previous week, but we are building out a comprehensive design that will let you more closely parse the specific days of data each week. and the formula Quote Each Album Unit total is calculated as follows: (Digital Standard Album Sales*1.0) + (Digital Deluxe Album Sales*1.3) + (CD Standard Album Sales*1.0) + (CD Deluxe Album Sales*1.3) + (Vinyl Standard Album Sales*2.0) + (Vinyl Deluxe Album Sales*2.5) + (Cassette Album Sales*1.0) + (Digital Song Sales/10) + [(On-Demand Audio Subscription Streams + On-Demand Video Subscription Streams)/1,200] + [(On-Demand Audio Ad-Supported Streams + On-Demand Video Ad-Supported Streams)/3,600]. Each Song Unit total is calculated as follows: (Digital Song Sales) + [(On-Demand Audio Subscription Streams + On-Demand Video Subscription Streams)/120] + [(On-Demand Audio Ad-Supported Streams + On-Demand Video Ad-Supported Streams)/360]. I like how they did the albums. this will be good for taylor.
