Despacito and Uptown Funk definitely felt a lot bigger. This is starting to feel like a Harlem Shake/Thrift Store type hit (though I doubt NasMaraj will get another hit) :rip:

I think people’s own streaming bubbles and less people listening to radio have reduced musics impact.

I kind of understood why Despacito was so big but OTR feels kind of random to be getting 12+ weeks :rip:

Like this is one of the strongest #1s ever. And is everywhere and slaying every metric. How does it not feel like a 10+ week #1?

Anyone saying OTR doesn’t feel big :skull:

It feels so much bigger than anything within the past few years, mainly because everyone likes it and it’s actually a really good song. I usually like legends retaining their records because I feel like in this era, too many records are being broken far too easily through streaming, but if any song should do it, it should be this.

OTR does not feel big at all for me but basically because I'm not from the USA and it's flopped in my country.

Exactly. I feel like US is the only country where teens are not the only ones listening to the song.

The idea of one song being at #1 for 20+ weeks is so wild like this literally shouldn't happen with new songs coming out all the time :skull:

Well maybe if Taylor and Ed didn’t release those mediocre songs...

OTR is better than all the songs it blocked so it deserves its position.

Can Truth Hurts go Top 10 already? It’s Top 10 in every metric except radio and radio should honestly be reduced to nothing in the chart formula. Songs can be flopping on every streaming and sales chart but radio will carry it into the Top 10 which doesn’t make any sense.

If Dua hadn't gotten radio play she wouldn't have smashed as hard here at all.

Some of your faves better release a new song to stop OTR from taking Mariah’s record!

Exactly how I feel too. I despised every week Despacito stayed #1, but now I'm even rooting a little bit for OTR. It's not getting annoying like Despacito or Drake's dozens #1s last year. It's actually uniting a lot of demographics which I think is a reason alone to not discredit it as "doesn't feel big" (besides the point that the "feeling" of one person in a country of 330 million doesn't matter **** yet they still think it's a valid argument:rip:).

It's actually not top 10 in any metric.

OTR can be bigger than despacito in the US but not globally! Despacito is so much bigger than OTR globally ... much much much bigger. See the YT views alone >>>>>>>
