Wow, a thread about Katy and yet the first three posts... weren't from the Kats. Y'all guys better log off ATRL once for your life. It's not healthy.

OT: Glad that Katy's 2nd best album is doing great! :clap3:

Doesn’t the Witness era have over 4 billion streams as well? Other flops could never.

The Princess of pop did that

The Princess of Pop did over 10M+ with her fourth studio album. Katy’s not even at 2M yet with her fourth album. :coffee2:

:skull: impossible

can we have a sales breakdown with countries please?  the album BOMBED everywhere

it'snotrealistic.gif

They’re pretending that YouTube audio counts as much as On-Demand Streaming.

Witness

Album Sales - 600k

Digital Song Sales - 2,320,000 - 232,000 TEAS

On-Demand Streams - ~1,400,000,000 - 933,334 SEAs

YouTube - ~2,400,000,000 - 1,600.000 SEAs

Total: 3,365,334

Forum homosexuals know better than industry leaders?

Those industry leaders lie all the time. Rihanna’s label fakes her record sales by adding song consumption (digital single sales + physical single sales + 1/150 streams) and album SPS (album sales + 1/10 digital single sales + 1/1500 On-Demand streams). Industry leaders are the biggest liars when it comes to stats - it’s the whole reason Billboard exists :skull:

She'd barely hit a milli with the SPS of UK and US together and unless witness went diamond in Germany or Japan and we didn't know this makes no sense :rip:

It was at 1,911,000 as of March 7th of 2018. It’s probably right under 2M and should pass the mark any day now.

Hopefully NRO does well enough that they don’t have to lie about such a poor figure.

This was the first thing I thought when I first saw the 3 million number, and seeing your post, that seems to be the case.

are they using the same methodology like Chart Masters???

Chartmasters would likely have her at about 2m. It's likely that her record label counted YouTube streams with the same value as paid-streaming, which is misleading.

Let me check...yep.

this is same thing as taylor label did. counting single before album release, youtube views, and china numbers I guess. and all in 1500 same ratio.

so it can look good on paper for PR.

with streaming royalty and ratio being different, this new sps thing is giant mess. lol
