Yvess: Psycho - 10: Stop relying on that HIT SONG!  Well, I cannot blame you for using this song again since this is so spot on with the flavor of love you were given.  

Speezy: Psycho - Lady Gaga - 9 Shes basically saying that shes having sex for fun and WONT Lie. {SEE BRIDGE} The song is very cute but it takes a listener and investigator to notice this is a sex bop 

Element: Psycho - 10.0 - God, did the luck of the draw work in your favor with this one. The whole thing is about casino games and bluffing. Bye. Also, the fact that this song is 10 years old is terrifying. Wow a year for every point you’re getting this round!!

Pressure - Psycho 8/10 I love how you sent this track, at first I was like wait what, then read the lyrics and was like ooooh this is perfect ;) all these years my innocent mind did not get the gun part xD

 

KatyCatPH - Taylor Swift

Breathless (AGAPE)

Yvess: KatyCatPH - 8: I see this working for Agape since it is too all-giving kind of love, martyr type of love,

Speezy: KatyCatPH - Taylor Swift – 8 This is very solid, I don’t think anyone could go very wrong with this flavor. Its accepting with open arms.

Element: KatyCatPH - 9.0 - Very strong choice. The chorus provides a pretty accurate depiction of agape… whether this is a friend, family member, or romantic figure in Taylor’s life, she is focused on helping them through their dark times and providing support without any judgment. I think this entry could have been propelled to the very top of the round if the verses had some more detail regarding Taylor’s specific sacrifices, but nonetheless, this works super well.

Pressure - KatyCatPH 7/10 It's a cute track, tho she does not seem to put as much emotion in this track then the others, when tho the lyrics are quite adorable. just probably the weakest AGAPE track from the entry's.

 

Alena - Selena Gomez

Cologne (MANIA)  

Yvess: Alena - 8: This fits the theme, I liked how she kept her maniac type of love cute. The chorus is so cool!  

Speezy: Alena - Selena Gomez - 10 This definitely channels Mania. I think shes crazy about her past lover in this one and cant go over it. This straddles the madness of Mania and psycho path part. It tells a story and tackles Mania a bit better than Janelle

Element: Alena - 7.0 - Your explanation is helpful and overall makes sense, but this track feels like a pretty classic “I miss you” song. There isn’t that much that takes it from normal longing and emotional expression to that obsessive, jealous, and maniacal level. I did like the lyric “running my mind cause my heart lost all control”. Obviously, the strongest selling point is the titular line… she’s wearing nothing but his cologne, which is a bit extra, but I feel like this comes up in other post-breakup songs.

Pressure - Alena 8/10 I like this track, and yeah she gives me those clingy girl fibes in this song! which makes it works

 

Pinkbox - Celine Dion

Yvess: PinkBox - 7: This is a interesting choice, I love that you chose the friendship route for Storge. Slay at the reference in your explanation, is that the year you were born 

Speezy: Pinkbox – Celine Dion – 7 Yes friends are all we have when we run from our family or spouses. It’s a friendly song but it lacks some sort of love-ish. Like “ I love how you make dumb ass mistakes but I’m not cutting you off”

Element: PinkBox - 7.5 - This parenthetical citation is SENDING me. This was cute. I think it certainly expresses the celebration of a relationship between friends, but it doesn’t fully depict the deep memories that the narrator should have expressed to take the song to the next level.

Pressure - Pinkbox 7/10 I feel this song is about friendzoned? im glad you put the lyrics in english! it's quite an adorable song tho. and fits you theme

 

thecptz - Kacey Musgraves

Family is Family (STORGE)

Yvess: thecptz: 10: The best storge entry of this round, hands down! Props for sending in also an explanation!  

Speezy: thecptz - Kacey Musgraves - 8.5 This is more like Storge than your counterpart/Storge Rival Katy. This touches on how family is your family no matter what and sometime you gotta love them no matter what. It does lack the love aspect though that Katy’s had

Element: thecptz - 9.5 - Aw, this was such a fun and unique version of storge. I really like this choice. It goes into all of these different experiences and memories that you will have with family throughout your life. The relationship feels very authentic and it shows both sides of the equation = what you will do for them and what they will do for you. Very nice!

Pressure - Thecptz 9.5/10 actually the entry that is about family love instead of romance love, I like that, you took the risk and it worked really well. this is such a cute song <3

Out of Body Experience (EROS)   

Yvess: Queen Conchita - 10: I see why you chose this song, I love it. Truly erotic, is he a Top or a Bottom in this song btw.

Sabbath: Conchita - Conchita - 8.5: ahhh my other stolen child, hope they’re treating you well over there. Anyways, I like this, I like how it’s subtle but you still know what’s going on, I see you Miss Conchita, don’t think I don’t. I also really like the vibe of the song. Overall, the lyrics are not super special, but they display the theme well enough.

Element: Queen Conchita - 8.0 - This is pretty good. I wish it could have been a bit more aggresively dirty to drive home the erotic theme, but Conchita definitely has enough metaphors and suggestive lines throughout the song to make it fit.

Pressure - Queen Conchita    7.5/10    The song is pretty catchy! but the lyrics did not stick out as much as the others, but by after googling the lyrics I did see the words behide the song, and how the sexual tension in the chorus. "shooting off, leave my body, Got me buzzin" then I was like oh yes, I can feel this.

 

Loyalty - Christina Aguilera

Falling In Love Again (LUDUS)

Yvess: Loyalty - 7: The lyrics are kinda basic, the instrumentalization and the sound production of this song is the great point of this entry - I see Catwoman using this as an OST. Then again, I only wish the song had more lyrics so it can really sell its ludus message.

Sabbath: Loyalty - Christina Aguilera - 3: Loyalty baby nooooooo, what are you doing  There’s nothing about this song that says Ludus to me. Where is the lack of commitment? The playfulness? The sexiness? The ANYTHING? She only talks about never falling in love again and that boys like her but there’s nothing that alludes to your category at all, it just feels like a song to feel badass ‘cause no one can break your heart anymore or something :(

Element: Loyalty - 6.0 - On the bright side, there are definitely lyrics that hint at ~ludus~ in this song. She suggests that many men come to her, but if they get burned, it’s not her fault. Love is a game to her… but then we get into the negatives. I don’t feel as if she’s necessarily seeking out this conquest and purposefully trying to play the game. It seems as if it just happens and she actually does fall in love with them at times? Whereas ludus might be a bit more uncommitted and surface level, this song suggests more depth to the relationships. I don’t get the sense of flirting, fun, and euphoria that we are looking for. And yes, after awhile, it gets very repetitive with the lyrics. If she had provided more descriptive and specific examples throughout the song, I think this entry would have been much stronger.

Pressure - Loyalty  7.5   This song took a bit to understand, till I read the lyrics! I don't think it has much lust in my eyes, but it has got a pretty intense lyrics behind this song! it's like shes addicted to his love, which is what I got for this song, still good entry overall just not my favourite is all.

 

Touch It - Beyonce

Die With You (AGAPE)

Yvess: Touch It - 10: The song screams AGAPE! Perfection from the emotionally trembling vocals (guess it is her style for this song) to the spot on lyrics. This is easily a God-tier entry in this round. Bookmark me.

Sabbath: Touch It - Beyoncé - 7.5 : This gives me mania vibes, specially the chorus, but I still feel some Agape in there. The song is great, but going by the descriptions, this doesn’t SCREAM agape to me like the hoest. 

Element: Touch It - 8.5 - I think that this is a beautiful song that sums up the idea of agape pretty well, if not a bit metaphorically. Some of the lines are so powerful -- like how she describes not needing certain parts of her body unless they can help her love in some way. This song definitely feels like she is on a higher spiritual plane with her husband. I would have liked to see a few less “if” statements, and more tangible, factual declarations of her sacrifices.

Pressure -Touch It  10/10  even tho the song puts me to sleep, the lyrics are very beautiful! you know she is really in love! they both are. screw what medias say and all. this song made us listeners feel what she is feeling! and this is why I really adore this entry... the lyrics fit the selfless theme well.

 

Boys - Britney Spears

Scary (MANIA)    

Yvess: Boys - 10: I don't see why you look so bothered and complains all the time when your entries aren't a flop tbh. This one is a great entry choice. Mania is the most scary type of love coz it is an unstable kind of love due to imbalance of Ludus and Eros. This is totallyGod-tier worthy so you can stop whining, I guess,

Sabbath: Boys - Britney Spears - 9.5 : I think it mixes a little too much of Eros, and while I do get mania ‘cause Britney herself says so when she’s scared of how much she wants the other person, I feel like I was expecting something else since you hyped it up so much lmao. I feel like the first verse is definitely mania, then the pre-chorus not so much since she “only needs a little time” then the chorus comes in and is mania and so on with the rest of the song. Still think is a good entry.

Element: Boys - 10.0 - Freaking fantastic. The theme pervades the entire song lyrically, and shows that not only does she feel this obsessive way, but she wants to bring her object of affection down into the dark place with her. She feels that she needs this man to suffer from insanity in the same way. Finally, even though we aren’t judging it, the production has pacing and instrumentation that drive home her maniacal tendencies.

Pressure - Boys  9.5/10  this song bops! omg another song I've never heard! but yeah the lyrics is begging for his love, and needing it! It really fits the theme you were given! and I really like this track! I need this send to me asap haha.

Yvess: Solarie - 9: Eros aka Erotic love is hard for the Queen of Angst so I am pleased to have this song submitted to me. It is your best shot in this round, Hot might do it but it is more like Mania or Ludus. This one is more erotic, I love the chorus, slay us EDM Avril

Speezy: Solarie - Avril Lavigne – 7 Honestly this is a reverse Conchita Wurst experience. It lacks on sexual nature but expands on the “I want you” side of EROS

Sabbath: Solarie - Avril Lavigne - 7: I feel like this song has a little bit of everything lol but I get the Eros part, literally from the first verse where she says she’s already turned on. It’s a little too generic tho, but I know you probably struggled since I don’t relate Avril with erotic songs.

Pressure   - Solarie 8/10  how have I not heard this song before? Anyways back on topic. Yes I felt the need in this song.  I like how she was so open up.  "Boy get your d back right here"  kinda attitude. I aboustly loved that.

 

Guero - Ariana Grande
Bloodline (LUDUS)

Yvess: Guero - 10: You got lucky with LUDUS since Young Ari has a lot of lustrous anthems. This is a very spot on entry if you ask me tbh. I like how unapologetically hooorny she is in this song.

Speezy: Guero - Arianae Grand - 9 Hits the spot pretty well. She just wants to let her coochie get pulverized and enjoy it and move on and let the next guy do it. But while they may fall in love, shes the one having fun toying with them

Sabbath: Guero - Ariana Grande - 7: I think this misses an important aspect of your category which is the “lying” or the fact that you’re “playing” with the other person. In the song, Ariana is very clear with her intentions and what she wants, even telling the other person that she won’t be calling the next day, everything is very straightforward. She is obviously talking about being uncommitted, but there’s no flirting or teasing as, like I said, the lyrics are very in your face.

Pressure  - Guero  8.5     this decently fit the theme.  Fact she just wants some sorta friends with benefits and telling the guy I don't want more at the moment. It's so a good song. Tho I feel your description. I understood it more in your words.

 

PoKiTaurus - Mariah Carey
I'll Be There (AGAPE)

Yvess: PokiTaurus - 10: That was a classic, I am glad you changed your entry before the deadline coz I might give you a 4. I love the lyrics, it fits for AGAPE type of love, i also love how great this song is. Such a classic!

Speezy: PoKiTaurus - Mariah Carey - 7 Well talent pulled through. This was a cute entry. Its reassuring that she’ll be then whenever and what ever happens in his life. But this is borderline Mania as well from the lines “Build my world of dreams around you,” and ” Togetherness, well it's all I'm after,”

Sabbath: Pokitaurus - Mariah Carey - 10: Yeah, this definitely fits great. All the lyrics allude to this selfless love that Agape represents. No words!

Pressure  -   PoKiTaurus  7.5   yeah I can see the agape kinda romance in these lyrics when i looked them up while listening.  She can tell a story with her vocals.  Showing she will be there by his side at the good times and bad.

 

Not Like The Movies - Janelle Monae

Can't Live Without Your Love (MANIA) 

Yvess: Not Like The Movies - 9: Love the explanation, you surely maximized that portion to your advantage. It is a cool song I guess. She's so in need of her man, someone give her some dild0 real quick.

Speezy: Not Like The Movies - Janelle Monae – 8.5 Wow this is really good. It has that stalker vibe that Mania has. How he can treat her any type of way and shell still be in love. But my only issue is that it lacks madness/ controlling that Mania has

Sabbath: Not Like the Movies - Janelle Monae - 9: I mean, I think the chorus is great, it’s absolutely obsessive and creepy to think you can’t live without someone and fits right with Mania. I wish the verses were a little stronger, but overall this hits the theme head on. Points cause you added the lyrics to your entry whew.

Yvess: Kiiwii - 8: I find this song so beautiful and something you can play for your best friend, family or even your partner. Storge is the hardest flavor of love for this challenge, so props for sending in a great entry, the explanation truly helped you.

Speezy: kiiwii - Katy Perry – 3 Girl what was you drinking when you sent this. Storge to me is something between family-TO-family or cousins…rarely in a partner. It’s sort of like “I’ll love you no matter what you do” I can only give you points on sending in a entry and The song at least touching the “Happiness” , and of Storge. The reason you got the score you did because it lacked “togetherness (activities), familiarity” and had some type of Mania/Agape vibe to it.

Sabbath: kiiwii - Katy Perry - 6: I like that you can tell she loves the other person even if the lyrics are very simple, and they give me this almost ‘heartwarming’ feeling. However, Storge is supposed to ‘happen’ because of memories and experiences and the song never addresses that or explains the path the relationship went thru to get to this storge love.

Pressure  - kiiwii  9/10  omg I love these lyrics for some reason it reminds me of my relationship. I also like the "they say ones man trash and the other is treasure, when I found you it was all pretty better"  that really won me over. I had the feels and chillz with this track.  So well done.
