Have we really never had a girl debut at number one on her first try?

Fantasia debuted #1, Carrie Underwood debuted #1, and Kelly Clarkson went #1 in her third week with their American Idol singles. Dunno why they were excluded.

Why should we count these American Idol's songs? We all know Kelly Clarkson's debut single was Miss Independent, just like with other mentioned female artists from Idol. That's mean we don't need to include Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Fergie, because they released songs before their official debut album.

So instant! Expected for a novelty song, what wasn't expected was that she would have more hits after that.

I mean A Moment Like This was on Kellys official debut album.

And Gaga never released a single before Just Dance, right? I don't know about Katy or Fergie.

If we're not counting AMLT as Kelly's debut single, then is she the first ever artist to go #1 with a buzz single? What a legend! :clap3:

I don't know, was it their's debut single, but ILRNR jumped to #1 spot within 7 weeks. Tied with Katy Perry's IKAG.

Also Complicated almost was #1, but it went #2 on 10th week.
