ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 14, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 14, 2018 Why isn't Art Angels in your 2015 list?

Also why do I picture you as some intellectual that shouldn't even be on this lowly site? I've never even heard of Jungian psychology. Carl Jung was a psychologist who gained prominence around the same time as Sigmund Freud (you might've heard of the oedipus complex; one of Freud's theories). Jung released a book called Psychological Types which goes into detail how every human has 8 psychological functions, but the order is different for all of us; thus making human beings have any one of 16 personality types based on the order their functions are in. The functions are based on what's internally focused vs externally focused (ex: introverted thinking vs extroverted thinking) You've probably seen the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or "MBTI" test related stuff floating around. It's basically a diet version of Jung's cognitive functions. To sum it up lol, the cognitive functions are indicative of how you function in the world/interact with the world. A lot of people that have learned their type have went on to make life improvements that are more beneficial for how their mind works. It's fascinating stuff but everyone doesn't wanna know themselves like that ya know lol. If you are interested I'd say take this test then get to googling! https://openpsychometrics.org/tests/OEJTS/1.php A lot of television character are written based off Jungian typing btw, so it might not be a coincidence if you notice structural similarities with your favorite characters or even celebrities. Lots of people for instance --since I know you stan-- believe Ariana Grande is either ESFP or ISFP. fff, funny you say that because my type is grouped under "The Intellectuals" I wouldn't call myself an "intellectual", and there's no correlation between intelligence and pop/forums in general. I'm a fan of general discussion about various things and I like pop culture as much as the next person.

Hmm at the revisions. Glad Danny and Bowie were bumped up. I'm not into car seat headrest anymore either. A bit opposite for me. Not that I dislike it but it grew off me so now it's just whatever. Whew what's that facts! Um yeah, CSH got stale fast. Well I went from thinking Lemonjuice was stale af to it's avg with one gr8 song. 1 hour ago, Eeveelution said: 2015 > 2016 imo though your top 3 for 2016 is excellent. Blue Rose Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 2016 list without Lemonade is a choice. But all the albums you listed are great. Nick Cave was #2 on my list (technically #3 since Lemonade wasn’t allowed to chart to make it fair for the lessers )
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 14, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted December 14, 2018 ASATT, Blonde girl books.... I'm trying to read more but uhmn cute list
Pink Matter Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Pretty much listened to all the albums in your 2016 list (minus the Sturgill and Leonard Cohen albums)... and they all slay I like to be optimistic but even I can tell there's been a big decline in quality between 2015-16 and and 2017-18.

Yeah I've taken the Myers-Briggs Indicator a while back, I thought it was interesting and pretty spot on with its result but i've forgotten now what that result was. If Jung's is more detailed (and therefore more accurate) I may try it sometime to see what it comes up with.
theblackestday Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Lots of talent in those 2016 lists. #TB to when you introduced me to Marked for Death, an album All Night sucks, but I like Lemonade I wish I had the patience to read books lmao

Vilppu Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 great 16 list. skeleton tree is absolutely stunning but it's such an emotionally heavy piece that i can't listen to it too often not books oh wow this is smexy. these seem pretty interesting, maybe i'll feel inspired to actually read for once over christmas break

Wicked Posted December 15, 2018 Author Posted December 15, 2018 So I'll start one of my main lists today, the EPs list. On an albums note, is it too late to add ZAYN's album to my worst list? Wicked Posted December 15, 2018 Author Posted December 15, 2018 I enjoyed these to some degree, but I liked the top 5 more. I think everyone here listened to like 20x more EPs than me so... Ready for the lashings but I feel this was a weak year for EPs.
Wicked Posted December 15, 2018 Author Posted December 15, 2018 5 | Ravyn Lenae - Crush Neo-Soul, Contemporary R&B Psychedelic Soul, Synth Funk, Contemporary R&B Cool EP with cool songs. Very cool and interesting. Well, the music is at least. Ravyn on the other hand... 4 | Moses Sumney - Black in Deep Red, 2014 Art Pop Neo-Soul His next album is gonna shake the table, cause a 3 track EP kinda did. 3 | Jacquees - This Time I'm Serious Contemporary R&B Jacquees ruffled feathers the other day proclaiming himself the King of R&B for this generation, but did he really lie? Well, idk about this King stuff but I do know he's been musically consistent. Staying true to his 90s R&B influences, he has seemed to hone his artistry over the years and bring back that 90s vibe back with a modern twist. This was a cool little appetizer before his debut album. 2 | Big Freedia - 3rd Ward Bounce Bounce, Southern Hip Hop Dance-Pop, Contemporary R&B NOLA Bounce legend dropped an EP and no1curr which is a bit sad since it's pretty good. Consistent & fun, Freedia's energy/charisma remains as impressive as ever. 1 | André 3000 - Look Ma No Hands Avant-Garde Jazz Vocal Jazz, Piano Blues, Cool Jazz, Free Jazz RIP Momma Benjamin. Surprise release of the year was not very exciting since it's pretty damn sad but hey, it's good stuff from Three Stacks so I'll take it. Now give us a solo ALBUM in '19 and I'll forgive him for his disappearance.
prézli Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 I totally missed out Andre 3000's EP But I would have been interested in it.
Blue Rose Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 I can’t at all these EP lists snubbing Khalid’s Suncity when Motion and Vertigo (plus the 2 songs smashing on Spotify) are almost flawless
