Views is still the best selling album released in 2016 Actually, you've got the wording wrong. Lemonade is the best selling album released in 2016. Views sold more within the calendar year of 2016.

Views is still the best selling album released in 2016 Views was the best selling album released in 2016. Views sold the most albums of a 2016 release in 2016. But sales don't stop December 31, 2016. Therefore Lemonade is the best selling album released in 2016.

Sis the double standards in here. I remember a certain Aaliyah stan making a thread a couple of months, about Views slightly passing Lemonade in global sales (due to inclusion of streams). All the bitter gurls were in that thread celebrating and bandwagoning. Now the the tables have turned, suddenly it's a problem for them.
JustActinUP Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Slay Lemonade! True talent always win in the end

KORDEI Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Everyone with sense knew she would outsell Drake. The only reason why it took so long was because he kept discounting it. It would be really cool if Lemonade could make it to 2x platinum eventually.

The fact that she outsold a discounted album with multiple smash hits, while hers being priced at $20. Edited March 14, 2017 by robotdanger

I think by his third or 4th sales week she was outselling him in pure sales in her 4th (or 5th) week. idk what all the hoopla is about lol

JustActinUP Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 1 hour ago, AALIYAH DANA said: No it wasn't. The end of year lists, shows Lemonade, as the top selling 2016 release globally. Views only passed it this year, when streams got added this year(Mediatraffic confirms this). Lemonade continues to have the pure sales advantage, while Views has lost steam on that front.
Stallo Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) Comparing sales of albums that are on/off spotify is a no go these days. I don't use Views, but comming for its success is rather funny. Take a look at Drakes Spotify page and have several seats. That album was a smash like very few and SPS is the future, now deal with it. Edited March 15, 2017 by Stallo
