Kinda a hard one to figure out tbh. I liked the idea of the balloon representing something freeing which is what ranks 1-3 and 5-7 went for. Thecptz was the wildcard but it worked out because the song represents Birthdays in a playful manner and I think we can attribute that to the emoji. 8-10 were super literal and not in a flattering way.

1: Literal, but both the sonical and lyrical contents are perfect.

2: I see creativity in this.

3-6: Okay.

7-9: Way too literal. (And not on Lily’s level.)

10: Seriously? That’s all you could find?

 

Aciid's Ranks

1. Kipperskipper - I liked how you kept true to the emoji but the song is more than just that.

2. Scene. - Element of freedom is what I relate the most to a balloon.

3. kiiwii - This is a nice twist to what you can relate to the emoji.

4. K$Ellie - Literal but also freeing.

5. Erikills - I see the association of letting go to using the balloon emoji.

6. thecptz - We obviously relate balloons to a fun bday and the song is more than just that too.

7. 305 - Like the freedom, just think the bird part is so repetitive that I just think of birds not balloons.

8. MLD - The first verse is good but the rest of the song falls short.

9. Buddy - Literal and not in a creative way.

10.  Wesley - There’s hardly anything to judge without the movie context.

This one could be applied in a lot of different ways. I loved Hunt You Down and That Don’t Impress Me Much because they’re so different but still fit so well. That Hatchie song is a bop, kiiwii. What’s Up worked well. Rich made sense. 5-7 were all similar and decent. I kinda get where wesley was going but not really. Kipper, what’s up?!

1: Enough correct.

2: Not as great as Kesha, but it fits.

3: Critical? Well, yeah, it’s good!

4: Kinda literal aspect, but better than some choices this round.

5: Smart ass? Interesting aspect.

6: It has an optimistic touch that I like.

I feel like y’all took too much of a dramatic approach on this emoji tbh. No one would use it in the context some of these songs are about, creativity is good, but I’m judging it’s usage and what it portrays. And some of the judging is iffy to me just because of this. You shouldn’t be that abstract. Like with the peach emoji (the example) it makes sense cause that’s how people use it...
