NEW RELEASES: DOING THE MATH ON DIVIDE

hitsdd_photo_gal__photo_87383493.jpgLook for Asylum's Ed Sheeran to bow with a stratospheric SPS total, buoyed by big album and single sales as well as enormous streams. Will his total rise to a half-million or higher? Stay tuned.

Ed Sheeran (Asylum) 425-450k SPS, 300-325k sales
Khalid (RCA) 23-27k, 9-13k

Fantastic numbers. :clap3:1M just in US + UK

I hope it can reach 500k SPS

X debuted with "just" 210k 3 years ago, in a better sales climate :clap3:

I'm afraid you ain't coming for 25 numbers, Eddy. But you still slay everyone else in the industry, including all of ATRL's faves.

That's crazy. I thought he would do 500k in pure sales.

Very underwhelming numbers for the self-proclaimed biggest artist in the world. :doc:

honestly if he kept it off streaming services like Taylor and Adele his numbers would be even bigger. I agree that he's overrated but he won

Streaming is where it's at, and he's slaying there. It's not his fault that his audience is both young and old which means that they don't only stream or buy albums and that his popularity is split between sales and streams.

Congrats to him, those are stellar numbers. :clap3: It'll be the biggest debut since Views's million.

Why would you buy an additional copy on iTunes when you already have a CD you can copy to your computer?

Save the money and use it on another album.

Nice he's doing Adele's fifth week sales.

Of course it's good, but I think everyone expected better sales.

The SPS number seems too low tho, I doubt he'll do less than 500k.
