Ed is so big that his album tracks are bigger than some singles the week he releases his album. I don't see a problem This would happen with a lot of artists, multiple times a year, invalidating many of the years lists. It's supposed to be a singles chart.
Chateau M Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Really great numbers for him. Glad he won't be beating Adele though

Doesn't seem right to me tho - 17 of the top 20 spots? It's a big week for him obviously, but he doesn't really have 18 of the hottest 20 singles at the moment. Singles are different from songs in a way.

No they didn't have the sales/ or songs on spotify. Well he has 18 of the most streamed +sold tracks in top 20, they are the biggest singles/songs w/e we call it. But probably not the week after.
Starkboy Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 Only Adele could have done something similar with Spotify. But Ed is a bigger streaming force than her + Ed songs did way better than 25 songs on iTunes UK. So the Spotify difference would have been even bigger. So yeah, he's the only one who can do this.

so_fetch Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 People even thinking hat he can top Adele's ??? #delusionals Let's not go there please, coz Ed's numbers are already very impressive. Having said that, I think he is the male counterpart of Adele in the UK not US. No one can touch Adele in this generation, not even close, even Beyonce.

I agree with everything you said, but I stand by my opinion. Does UK use airplay in their formula?
