It's just for a week. Ed is so big that his album tracks are bigger than some singles the week he releases his album. I don't see a problem :michael:

This would happen with a lot of artists, multiple times a year, invalidating many of the years lists. It's supposed to be a singles chart.

But it doesn't. When was the last time this happened?

Didnt happen with Rihanna, Drake, etc.

I was under the impression that this happened with Adele, Beyonce, J. Cole, Drake, the Weeknd, etc. My apologies!

Doesn't seem right to me tho - 17 of the top 20 spots? It's a big week for him obviously, but he doesn't really have 18 of the hottest 20 singles at the moment. Singles are different from songs in a way.

No they didn't have the sales/ or songs on spotify.

Well he has 18 of the most streamed

+sold tracks in top 20, they are the biggest singles/songs w/e we call it.

But probably not the week after.

Only Adele could have done something similar with Spotify.

But Ed is a bigger streaming force than her + Ed songs did way better than 25 songs on iTunes UK. So the Spotify difference would have been even bigger. So yeah, he's the only one who can do this.

People even thinking hat he can top Adele's ??? #delusionals Let's not go there please, coz Ed's numbers are already very impressive.

Having said that, I think he is the male counterpart of Adele in the UK not US. No one can touch Adele in this generation, not even close, even Beyonce.

singles it's just a name

he has 18 of the top 20 hottest songs in UK so I don't see why they shouldn't chart.

also artist release music videos, put audios to YT and sometime is really hard to say what is a official single and what is now. they don't name it (see panic of the disco releases, almost full album before album release, almost all of them has a MVs, what is single what is not?)

many years ago it was easy beacuse "singles" were released for CDs sent to radios etc. now with itunes streaming and all of that it's not that easy.

and still. his 18 songs are having better results with streaming+sales than other songs in the country, why they shouldn't chart?

I agree with everything you said, but I stand by my opinion. :michael: Does UK use airplay in their formula?
