Together Again peaked at #1 in Hungary https://www.americanradiohistory.com/Archive-Music-and-Media/90s/1998/MM-1998-02-07.pdf (scroll down to Top National Sellers and look at Hungary, says it peaked at #1 the previous week) She also apparently has 10 #1's in South Africa's singles chart but there is no official online archives for it unfortunately, so it's mainly based on fansites way back then that kept track of the music charts on TV in that country. http://www.geocities.ws/sa_divas/singles.html Got 'Til It's Gone also peaked at #1 in Spain apparently but like again, no official online archive source is available for it atm. Moth 2 The Flame Posted April 3, 2019 Posted April 3, 2019 (edited) UPDATED total #1s for Janet 36 #1s USA: 10 Australia: 1 Canada: 5 Italy: 1 Netherlands: 2 Spain: 2 Finland: 1 New Zealand: 3 Hungary: 1 South Africa: 10 Scream was apparently #1 in Poland, but I checked the source reference for it on its wikipedia page and it was a Polish radio chart...which only showed it peaking at #2, so I didn't include it. Same goes for Norway and Switzerland, checked the source and it says it peaked at #2 and #3 respectively. Edited April 3, 2019 by Moth 2 The Flame

How you going to give her 17 top 10 hits but no number 1s lol.

She technically did get a #1 with That's The Way Love Goes, but she was blocked by George Michael's Five Live EP which the UK counted it as a extended 5 track single and put it on the singles chart instead of the albums chart. The majority of the rest of the world considered the EP as a mini album and put it on the albums chart. She got done dirty with that stupid UK EP rule. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Live_(George_Michael_and_Queen_EP) Edited April 3, 2019 by Moth 2 The Flame

I think she holds the record among female artists for most UK Top 10 hits without a #1 As @Moth 2 The Flame already said, That's the Way Love Goes was done dirty by that EP rule. It would've easily debuted at #1 if it weren't for that. Together Again was also a big hit. It went Platinum which was impressive in the pre-digital music era. It was also in the Top 40 year-end for both 1997 and 1998 (would've been higher if its chart success was only in one year) and yet it peaked at #4 The Teletubbies went #1 the same week Together Again debuted at #4. Madonno Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Madonna And she did´t in a time when the amount of official markets was minimum compared with the huge amount of oficial market we have nowadays Don´t want to dismiss the new pop stars like Rihanna, but this is unfair for the Queen. And even taking that in count, Madonna´s lead is out of the world. Truly the biggest and most global female artist in history.
IBeMe Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 That Katy Perry picture always sends me for some reason Queen Shakira being knocked one spot by another queen Love both
DoubleRainbow! Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 It says on wiki that Feels went #1 in Belgium, not sure about it tho.
