OK. I looked it up.

 

It is "Scream" with Michael Jackson. Makes sense. There was no way Janet could have a solo No1 in European countries like Findland, Italy and Spain. She was never big enough in Europe to have a No1 single so I was shocked when I saw your post, but I have forgotten about the MJ duet.

Well, Katy has one in France since IKAG hit #1 on the digital chart back in 2008 and that the official chart (which was based on physical copies only  ) was irrelevant. So yeah, official are not, sometimes, things are not that easy.

If it was top 5 I think it be much higher for some reason she always had top 5s but never number ones but I think it is because she has always been more rnb based and in the 80s and 90a rnb wasnt as global as now.
