Do those Hot 100 points include features?

I’m pretty sure that they account for the differences in time in their methodology

They do. Lmfaooo @stevyy tried with the excuses, Rihanna’s the only artist of her generation in the entire top 20 for a reason

Yes but features are downweighted

For duets: 50/50

For features: 70/30

For example Rihanna only got 30% of This Is What You Came For & Wild Thoughts’ points

From Wild Thoughts she got 15% (the other 15% was for the Bryson guy)

what the hell ? would be so unfair if true :deadbanana2:

don't they give 70% to Khaled, 30% to Rih and the same 30% to Bryson ?

that'd make more sense, or did they really give only 7.5% to Justin for I'm The One (since it's DJ Khaled ft. 4 artists)

70% for the lead

30% is split between the featured acts. If there are 3 featured acts each of them gets a 10% for example

Yeah, Bieber got 7,5% of the points for I'm the One.

Are you sure Bieber is out? Plus, would you have the points of Ariana, Selena, Miley and Demi?

A lot of his big recent hits were features (eg. Despacito, I'm The One, Cold Water). If there are a lot of artists on a song, features get such a small percentage of points.

EDIT: Now I see posts about I'm the One. 7.5% is almost nothing

@iHype. Can you estimate the point totals for The Weeknd and Kendrick?

The black Madonna, RiRi, is going to be above Janet, Whitney and Mariah soon.

So really this list actually underrepresents Rihanna, because there are more features nowadays and yet it isn’t proportionate to the significance of an artist on a particular song. I mean Rihanna getting 15% of WT points and 70% of WFL points for example underrepresents her singles power on the Hot 100. It’s amazing she made top 10 even with this methodology handicap :'(

Well that method is dumb, but for someone like Gaga who doesn't collab with artists she is pretty high then :)

By age

50s Madonna (60 in 2 months), Janet, Michael would have been 60 in 2 months, Whitney would have been in 50s

40s Mariah

30s Rihanna, Usher (turning 40 in October)

20s Taylor Swift

So the under-40 trinity right now is Rihanna, Usher, and Taylor.
