The amount of copies you need to reach platinum with an album is completely different than the amount of singles. Platinum is 600k for singles and 300k for albums. So, obviously, Madonna is the highest certified female in the history of the United Kingdom since she has sold by far the most albums. But Rihanna's numbers are very impressive too. Platinum for an album is 300k and for a single 600k. Based on those, these are the Top3 most certified females.
