You must not forget NRO has been dead last since its debut 4 weeks ago and they keep pushing it

it has slighty improved every week (especially this last one) tho. plus we've kinda established callouts affects more the song longevity after it peaks (and the label stops promoting it). that's why I already said last week (?) that once NRO peaks it's gonna freefall a la ME! unless callouts improve again.

"Speechless" Top 10 on Overall Radio. Even if it's a crossover country song, still a big achievement.

I think that D+S added a version with Tori Kelley right about the time SL was peaking at radio. Tequila had already peaked at HAC by the time it crossed over to T 40 and AC. So SL is climbing at all 3 at a faster rate than its losing at Country.

Sorry, was peaking at HAC prior to AC and T 40, which is why they added Tori Kelley to the remix. I forgot to say HAC, so I had to make another comment. ATRL won't let me make edits on my recent posts anymore.

interested to see the callouts for Senorita. it is looking like a potential #1 at Pop and if the callouts are good it will make it even more likely to happen.

Because her label wanted to move on with the second single since ME! was free falling in the other metrics.

The way y'all keep twisting the way callouts work. :rip: Why is it so hard for you to accept that radio plays only what it's payed to play? In what world does a song that's getting horrible callout scores week after week go back to positive updates and +120 bullet?

Sometimes you claim radio plays songs because they're doing great on streaming, or because they're callout scores are good, but what's your excuse for Never Really Over? It's #55 on Spotify weekly chart, #32 on iTunes, getting less than 400k daily views, and it's getting horrible callouts. If you really think the reason behind the sudden radio boost is the fact that callout scores went from horrible to a bit less horrible, you're delusional. :rip:

NRO will most likely serve a ME!-sized fall in the next few weeks and have terrible longevity (again if the callouts don’t get much better soon). Capitol was just still promoting to get that #10 peak this week since it was the song’s last chance. She also has a new song coming in less than two weeks.

Ariana’s songs a perfect example of callouts affecting a song’s longevity imo. Now she’s obviously not getting horrible scores but they are also not good enough to keep her songs in the Top 10 of Pop radio for moooonths. And radio is obviously forced to play them cause she does well on other metrics. (Especially streaming, aka the most important and relevant one).

You're confused, I don't think he meant to "deffend" NRO "second wind" for some reason (ex. callouts). Callouts have been improving, especially this week, that's a fact, but they still are awful callouts. I think we just joke but know at the end, NRO went Top 10 because of a last minute push, it's not organic at all.

Nah, he’s dead serious about it. And NRO callouts are improving because it’s impossible for them to get more awful.

it's quite possible, because it shows that the more people hear the song, the more they like it. Stranger things have happened on pop radio. Roar debuted on callouts in the bottom 10 and eventually hit #1 so, do you even understand how callouts work?

Fume over the turnaround tho

I’m pretty sure songs that are dead last aren’t supposed to be getting positive updates.

Ok so what are you gonna do about it? Fight with the radio DJs now? Or are you simply mad that the song got this much success when Katy was “supposed to be over” by now?

We don’t need any negativity here. Let us celebrate in peace.

Hopefully it will be #1 on Nielsen as well. The gap seems big enough for it :dancehall:

Miss thing if I was angry about NRO doing good I’d be fuming back when it was doing good on streaming. I hate the fact that radio has so much value in Hot 100 simply because it’s clear they don’t care what people wanna hear, just what label pays them to play.

I just think it’s hilarious when people celebrate radio success. Like your label payed someone to play your fave’s song... cool.

Why would someone be pressed over label pushing a song on radio that’s out of top 40 on Billboard? :rip:  Choose your battles, babe.
