Monky_2405 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 WEEK 98 The first #1 of the new year is the record breaking "thank u, next" by Ariana Grande. The lead single off the upcoming fifth album by the Dangerous Woman singer is now at its 8th week at the top, becoming the longest running #1 hit breaking the record held by "Havana" and "God is a woman". Other than this important milestone the "slow new year" effect is in full mode as no significant movements have been made this past week. Other significant events might be, for example, the rise of "Good Form" to a new peak at #5 and the debut of the recently surfaced track by Ava Max called "Blood, Sweat & Tears" (#89). In the meantime Halsey is probably scoring another record as "Without Me" is still stuck at #2 for yet another week. Find out the whole chart below to discover more: OUT THIS WEEK: Spoiler JoJo - "Disaster (2018)" Peak: #98 Weeks: 1 Ciara - "Dose" Peak: #15 Weeks: 15 2019 #1s ALBUMS CHART: = Up | = Down | = New | = Re- Entry 01. Monky_2405 Posted January 10, 2019 Author Posted January 10, 2019 WEEK 99 The week Ariana Grande's "thank u, next" spends its 9th week at #1 we see the consequences of the end of the Christmas freeze, as we're back at spinning our usual playlist daily. There's nothing new to report into the top 3, as also Halsey's "Without Me" and Ellie's "Close To Me" keep the same position as last week (#2 and #3). Rising another spot is "Good Form", up at #4, while "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" climbs back at its previous peak (#5). Brand new girl group 303 scores its first Top 10 as their debut single "Whisper" conquers position #8 this week. "Vas A Quedarte" by Aitana climbs at #12 and it's expected to reache the Top 10 next week. A very great debut for Fleur East's debut, "Favourite Thing" has a brilliant first week and debuts at #16. Lana Del Rey scores yet another early debut as her latest promo single "hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but i have it" manages to chart at #94 after just a day. As already stated the end of the Christmas freeze affects the chart and not only allows some tracks to debut after they spent a few weeks spent bubbling under (examples are: "Dirty Blonde" by Eden xo and the lullaby "you mean the whole wide world to me" by Christina Perri, "Cycles" by Tove Lo, instead, keeps on bubbling under at #102), but also makes a few songs rebound (examples are: "Last Night's Mascara" by Brynn Cartelli and "Immortal Flame" by Katy Perry). After an early debut last week, "Blood, Sweat & Tears" by Ava Max rebounds and soars at #49 (up 40 spots). Are you curious to discover #s and more details? Monky_2405 Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 WEEK 100 As "thank u, next" spends a 10th week in a row at #1, Ariana Grande extends her record for the longest running #1 song. This is the week Halsey's "Without Me", still stuck at #2, has been the closest to snatch the top spot being both songs around the same amount of points. The reason why Ariana Grande holds the crown is that the first single off her upcoming album has a biggest total amount of plays. We still have a strong top 5, as none of the songs moves. "Dancing With A Stranger" is a smash debut for Sam Smith & Normani as it starts at #5. Aitana, the spanish sensation, scores her first top 10 with "Vas A Quedarte", up at #10. "More Than That" by Lauren Jauregui enters at #12 while, among very important debuts this week, Fedez & Zara Larsson bows in at #23 with "Holdin Out For You". Kehlani and Ty Dolla $ign, with "Nights Like This", debut at #29. We still have very nice updates for songs released at the end of the 2018, songs that still benefit the end of the freeze and are now back on heavy rotation. In particular we can see "Amor" by BoA make a big jump to #41 as it menaged to double its plays the past week. To find out other debuting songs and how the chart is adjusting to the beginning of this new yeark, check it in full below: OUT THIS WEEK: Spoiler Janelle Monae - "Screwed (feat.
