Monky_2405 Posted September 20, 2018 Author Posted September 20, 2018 WEEK 83 Mariah's back! "GTFO" debuts at #1 with record breaking points and becoming the 4th track to do so on this chart. The buzz-single off Mariah Carey's upcoming album dethrones "God is a woman" (down at #3), ending its 7 weeks long reign. An interesting consequence to Mariah's debut is that "Barbie Dreams" is still stuck at #2. A week after the release of the Cry Pretty album, "Love Wins" becomes the highest charting single by Carrie Underwood reaching a new peak at #4. Ava Max enters the Top 5 with "Sweet But Psycho", "Made For Now" goes down at #6. "Electricity" by Silk City and Dua Lipa jumps from its debut position last week (#9) to #7. Brand new at #20 is "Mariners Apartment Complex" by Lana Del Rey, while "Dose" by Ciara starts at #31. Top 40 debuts for Nashville's star Lennon Stella, the singer/actress makes her first appareance as a lead solo artist on the chart at #37 with her single "Bad". A lot of midweek releases means a lot of early low debuts. In spite of being released by the ending of the tracking week there are songs already debuting: "Head Above Water" by Avril Lavigne is #93, "This Feeling" is #90, "Venice Bitch" is already #75. These songs will for sure experience big jumps next week. Talking about big jumps, a few songs are recovering and started getting back the plays they lost in the last few weeks: an example of this is "One Shot" by Mabel, this song started getting airplay and it's up more than 40 spots at #57. Greatest gainer of the week is "Cherry", the song debuted last week after being added later to my playlist, and it's already #28 this week.
