But when talking about Adriana's love song repertoire, this one is the best. She feels much more at home singing post-breakup songs (Mentiras is a highlight and you should check it out), but she does have sugary love songs, even if most of the time they come with a twist (Canção de Novela is much more about lustful love than, let us say, the"ingenue" type; and "Gatinha Manhosa" hits me as more of a platonic love song; by that I mean she loves a guy, but the guys is hesitant in showing his love back to her). Thus, we are left with Fico Assim Sem Você (loosely translating to This Is Me Without You). Here, Adriana awaits for the return of her partner -who is away in a bussiness trip or something similar. She proceeds to name a bunch of things that only work together (have you ever heard of plane flying without its wings? Or tried playing soccer {FOOTBALL!} without a ball?) and goes as far as saying she "wants him all the time" and that "not even a thousand speakers" could be loud enough for her to be declare all of her love. One last thing about the lyrics: there is a verse in which she says that being apart from her loved one is as if "there was Buchecha but no Claudinho". Now, what she is referring to here is the Brazilian duo Claudinho and Buchecha. They were very famous in Brazil and probably would've had a bigger time in the spotilight if Claudinho didn't die in a car acident. If you really need a T.E.L.A (True English Lyrical Adaptation) of what she is conveyning, try to think of it as "Simon without Garfunkel"... kept in proportion, of course. Lastly, take a load of this: this song was originally BY Claudinho and Buchecha. Yep... Love On Top (PS: My Top 4 stayed the same throughtout my entire judging process). 5. Victims (Like this very much. It managed to kick Britney out, even if I thought I had my Top 5 on lock from the start. She had the production element down, but Culture Club stomped on her beautifully with its music video and above average lyrics) 6. (You Drive Me) Crazy 7. Bubblegum Bitch (Biggest surprise this round. It fits! Even if I think I could've lived without some of the lyrics...) 8. Whenever You Call (TYPICAL... VERY TYPICAL.... A GENERIC piano ballad. Mariah's voice saves the day) 9. Hate That I Love You (Oh, Rih. When your love ballads aren't over the-top, they never leave much of an impression) 10. Permanent Monday (This lady was almost out of the top 10 multiple times, but in the end I decided she deserved a spot on it) 11. Teenage Dream (Was No. 8, but had to fizzle out to make way for Jordin and Mariah) 12. My Love Grows Deeper Everyday (I am very much conflicted on this...) 13. Love Is A Suicide (2nd biggest surprise of the tracklist) 14. The Way (Your voice annoys me to hell and back. I can't deny it is a good love song, though) 15. Burn With You (Reminded of a better, squeakier Demi Lovato) 16. Yes (And here she is! The only song I can't remember the melody of. I do remember the lyrics! They're good; really heartfelt. And save her from the bottom. 17. 400 Lux (I'm SO tired of Lorde's shtick after going through all of Melodrama. Is this her only mood?! God, it makes her music even less of a candidate for a listening marathon than Lana's. And I like Ms. Del Rey! 18. Paparazzi (Someone didn't exactly get the round brief! This song is not about loving someone. This song is not about loving at all! It is a bitter kiss-off song to the Paparazzis. Galady is not really saying she loves them.
