Sis his minimal predictions were 275K that we were kiking about days ago, he sold 296K; Thats 21K (to be specific) more that the bottom of the barrel, simple math. So if he "WON" by selling 21K more than those tragic predictions then the standards must be really low at this point.

None of the artist you mentioned released an album around their super bowl performances; the only artist I can think of who starting her era after her super bowl performance was Beyonce with Lemonade, and she scored BIG. Comparing his album with lemonade would be relevant but naming random artists.

SB DOES NOT have a major album boost no matter how much y’all try to make it. Super bowl has a negative connotation around him due to janet and there was a lot of hate. He only did filthy and it was not a standout performance. Tour bundles do much more first week which p!nk had. Please spare me. It could be better but much much worse. Thanks.

loved in the US, less than 300K in the US

Most people can barely even reach 200k.......

With the SUPERBOWL sis? None of those artists had that opportunity so it's a bit sad to compare them to him. And just a few years ago he was able to sell almost a million effortlessly...

And that was a major comeback after 7 years with two huge singles before the debut. Of course. It’s been FIVE whole years since then and streaming has taken over with sales declining massively. Anyone thinking anything above 500k was realistic is plain delusional. That’s that.

500k is delusional, yet a week ago you thought he would be doing Ed numbers (450k). why

Won't be for long :gaycat1: and that's saying a lot when it debuted a year ago with one of the biggest hits of the decade

Y'all act like the Super Bowl sells 100K in album sales for anyone in the last God knows how many years.

Okay, performing for literally 1/3 of America offers no major promotional boost  :priceless:

Nn doesn’t Duca usually like to post the Pure Sales first then SPS in the HDD thread titles?

I wonder why he left out the pure sales in the thread title this time.

Since the closest we have with an album being released around the time of the Super Bowl the only thing I saw was for MDNA:

February 6, 2012

After only three days its release, "Luvin'" has sold over 100,000 downloads in the U.S. according to industry sources (through the close of business Sunday, Feb. 5), while pre-orders for her album via the iTunes Store stand around the 50,000 mark.

https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/506372/super-bowl-spurs-sales-for-madonnas-new-and-old-material

MDNA was up for iTunes preorder on February 3rd, 2 days before her half time show.

February 2, 2012

Also, don't forget that the 18-track Deluxe edition of the album will be available for pre-order from iTunes at 6am PST / 9am EST tomorrow!

http://www.madonna.com/news/title/15-tracks-from-mdna-revealed

So even after the Super Bowl the interest for MDNA only reached to 50,000 preorders.

Comparing a older white woman to a 38 year white man that just had a smash hit in 2016-17 ?
