Men dominate rock.

Rock is the genre which tends to have a strong 'fanbase' in younger people.

 

Nirvana & Oasis for example, so many young people listen to these because they're considered 'cool'.

As for the OP, females generally do well on YT. MJDangerous weighs Spotify more heavily than YouTube. Most of these groups don’t have YouTube pages so it pushes their Spotify pages.

It makes sense that he gives more weight to paid streaming than free streaming

YT is how most of the world listens to music, has been around much longer than those other streaming methods and has given power in the industry to third-World countries. Giving Spotify higher weight gives Europe even more influence on the charts than they already have.

I agree with MJD with this.. 

Paid streams should be weighted more. just like how mjd weighed physicals more than digital
