Welcome to the Ultimate Pop Rate! I've compiled a list of around 220 songs that encompass the 2000s and 2010s decade of pop. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to include every pop hit but I hope you're at least 90% happy with the list. The vast majority were either #1s on Pop Radio, Hot 100 Airplay, Hot 100 or European Hot 100. RULES Rate every single song from 1-10. Decimals are fine but only to 1 decimal place (8.4 is fine, but 8.32 or 8.91012 is not). You may give TEN songs a score of 11 – however, they each have to go to a different female (this means if you rated Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” an 11, you can’t rate any of her other hits with an 11) PLEASE USE THE PREPARED TABLE FORMAT BELOW TO SEND IN YOUR SCORES. You must use the correct format (see below). PM your scores to me – MUST copy and paste the table format below so that it’s easier for me to input it in the master spreadsheet (if you want to do this in a Google Doc and just send the link to me as well, that is totally okay) Comments are optional – if you’re writing comments, please PM them to me separately. As far as quality standards go, I don't want to see all 10s or 1s for the same artist, if it seems like you're sabotaging I won't count your ballot PLAYLISTS - Note: there were some additions/omissions to the song list, so the playlist has 90% of what you need (but doesn't have everything - please use the SONG LIST) YOUTUBE PLAYLIST DUE DATE: MAY 27th (a strict deadline as I'm going on vacation a week after and want this done before then!) It's the truth - it's a fact. I was gone - now I'm back! With part two of this wonderful time! And a whole buttload of brilliant British jams from the turn of the decade. The credit crunch! A time we all cherish. Honestly and openly, you can hear so much change in the five years we'll survey - the sound of English pop changed multiple times. Where it landed... me no likey.
