Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” emerged as the early frontrunner in both categories in our 2010 poll, and easily managed to sweep the Record of the Year category; she ultimately finished with twice the votes of Beyoncé and Taylor Swift—combined. “You Belong With Me” did put up a much more valiant fight in the Song of the Year poll, trailing by only a few meager votes until swifties woke up on Christmas day and apparently decided that winning this poll was more important than spending time with their families.
