  2. In my opinion, some of the "screaming" parts were actually good. It did sound like singing, just was powerful and the singer in the video had to hold their note for a long time; it can be difficult to hold a note for that long, that high, without it sounding like "screaming" eventually. and ANY singer will sound like 'screaming" when compared to Whitney. so i disagreed.
  3. Billie Eilish is releasing her anticipated(?) 3rd studio album "Hit Me Hard And Soft" this Friday after having announced it in early April and promoted it with excessive snippets & beauty shots since. Predict her first day Spotify streams! Some things to take into consideration: - The album consists of 10 tracks, no pre-release singles were released - Her previous album, Happier Than Ever, debuted with a disappointing 35.5M first day streams. Keep in mind it has +60% the amount of tracks compared to this new album - HTE had 5 pre-release and on-release highly playlisted singles. The album also had some abrasive, unlikely to be repeated Spotify promo on release, including immediate TTH and NMF covers and #1 placement, as well as an unprecedented "Happier Than Ever genre" button on all users' homepage linking to the album. - Some recent debuts by her peers with similar amounts of tracks: GUTS - 60.9M (12 tracks) Eternal Sunshine - 58.1M (13 tracks, 1 is an interlude) but then there's also... Radical Optimism - 20.5M unfiltered (11 tracks; filtered unknown due to songs missing the chart. ) Predict carefully, ATRL, as responses will be bumpedT accordingly in due time.

    Favourite BLACK P!NK single?

Her iconic R&B debut album spawned three singles: After releasing her third and final single from "Can Take Me to the Cookout", she had a bad plate of collards at Kandi "Can't Hit A Note, But Can Get a Check" Burruss' house and out of protest, decided to leave the black community and went down a more pop/pop rock route for her sophomore follow up. With Kandi refusing to pay her hospital costs for the food poisoning and her evil twin, somehow being released, P!nk decided to give us one last R&B single, a cover of the R&B CLASSIC with fellow black icons: Christina Aguilera, Mýa, Lil Kim and Missy Elliott. and with that: As quickly as she came, BLACK P!NK was gone. Out of the 4 singles released, which is your favourite? Would you like to see her return to this sound? Is this her best album? What other songs from this album would have like to see released? Do you want them to stop trying to rehash Lady Marmalade with lesser talented performers?

    Will Taylor use a surrogate?

Taylor is at the age that if she gets pregnant, it'd be considered a geriatric pregnancy. When she inevitably marries Travis and plans to start a family, will she turn to a surrogate so that she doesn't risk herself? It would also allow her to tour, and we know what a workaholic she is.
  10. Following the release of TTPD, Taylor Swift released a new setlist for the Eras Tour. This setlist now included a new section dedicated to her new album, at the expense of removing a few of the original songs from the setlist. Which setlist do you prefer? Pre-TTPD: Post-TTPD:

  13. Yesterday the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Malmö, Sweden with Switzerland winning the whole thing. I*rael was allowed to participate and had the second highest score in the televote but ultimately finished in 5th place. To everyone's surprise, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain and Italy all gave 12 points to the non-state. All these countries have the highest count of televoters year per year and it's hard to rig the televote when a lot of people are voting organically. So why did the GP in these 5 countries vote for them? Non-participating and non-European states were also allowed to vote. The Rest of World vote was also won by Israel. Rihanna Rated R Appreciation

After having a smash breakout era with Good Girl Gone Bad, Rihanna would go on to endure one of the most traumatic moments of her life in front of the world. Feeling heartbroken, resilient, and experimental as ever... she would go on to release a body of work that had little in common with the Pop landscape of 2009. While ANTi is revered as her best album by the GP today, some would argue that it wouldn't even exist without it's severely underrated true predecessor, Rated R. "Russian Roulette" was released as the lead single from her fourth studio album. The song received positive reviews from critics and peaked within the top ten in numerous countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. It also achieved platinum certification in several countries. Additionally, "Russian Roulette" received nominations for various music awards, further highlighting its success. "Wait Your Turn" didn't achieve the same level of commercial success as "Russian Roulette," though it still performed well. It reached the top 40 in several countries, including the United Kingdom and Australia, and received moderate airplay and digital sales. While it may not have been as big a hit as some of her other singles, it still contributed to the overall success of the album. "Hard" featured rapper Young Jeezy and received positive reviews from music critics. The song achieved commercial success, peaking within the top ten in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. It was certified platinum in multiple countries and received nominations for various music awards. "Hard" contributed to the overall success of Rihanna's "Rated R" era and remains a fan favorite. "Rude Boy" became one of Rihanna's biggest hits and the most successful song from the Rated R era. The song topped the charts in several countries, including the United States (her only #1 of the era, which stayed atop for 5 weeks), Canada, and the United Kingdom. It received widespread airplay and digital sales, and its catchy melody and playful lyrics made it a favorite among fans. The song is also the only track from Rated R to be included in Rihanna's Superbowl set list. "Rude Boy" further solidified Rihanna's status as one of the leading pop artists of the time, and it's sound arguably set the tone for Rihanna's next LP (LOUD). "Rockstar 101" featured guitarist Slash. While it didn't achieve the same level of commercial success as some of her other singles from the same album, it still performed decently. "Rockstar 101" reached the top 40 in several countries and received moderate airplay and digital sales. Its edgy sound and collaboration with Slash added to its appeal, making it a notable track from the "Rated R" era. "Te Amo" by Rihanna was not as commercially successful as some of her other singles. Released in 2010 as the sixth single from her album "Rated R," the song didn't achieve significant chart success in many countries outside of Brazil where it reached #1 and became one of Rihanna's greatest hits in the country. Nevertheless, it did receive positive reviews from critics for its catchy melody and Rihanna's vocal performance. While it may not have been a massive commercial hit, "Te Amo" still garnered attention and contributed to the diversity of Rihanna's musical repertoire along with her international appeal. Honorable Mentions:

In February she teased new country-inspired album "Lasso" by posting a preview of Henry, Come On. Even Jack Antonoff acknowledged it in one of his interviews. Today Lana and Quavo teased their upcoming collab on IG which definitely doesn't fit Lasso's theme and sound. Are we in Lana's droplet era? Is "Lasso" cancelled at this point? Did Lana change direction of her new album? Discuss.
