We've had a BUSY first half of the year with MANY of the biggest pop girls dropping albums but what is your fave now that we have been able to listen to them all? Beyoncé - Cowboy Carter Ariana Grande - Eternal Sunshine Dua Lipa - Radical Optimism Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department Billie Eilish - Hit me Hard and Soft Shakira - Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran
  2. "I come and I go. Tell me all the ways you need me" I don't care if RO flops or not at lease she gives us 2 mega bop are "Goddini" and "Training Season" this era. I recently listen back to Houdini and realize how fresh and sleek the song sounds. Inarguable Dua Lipa classic. Up there with "Levitating" & "Don't Start Now" Agreed ATRLers?
  3. 2024 has been a wild year for music releases, and with that has come some unforgettable feuds. Whether they're lighting up social media, making headlines, or even inspiring some diss tracks, these beefs have been hard to miss. I'm curious to know, what's been your favorite music beef of 2024 so far? Megan Thee Stallion vs. Nicki Minaj These two powerhouse rappers had fiery exchanges resulting in some epic diss tracks. Who came out on top? Notable Lines: Aye, these hoes don't be mad at Megan. These hoes mad at Megan's Law. Ariana Grande vs. the Media Ariana's been in a constant battle with the media, pushing back against invasive stories and unfair scrutiny. How do you see this affecting her career and public image? Notable Lines: Your business is yours and mine is mine. Why do you care so much whose d*ck I ride? Beyoncé vs. the Country Music Establishment Beyoncé's crossover into country music has sparked some serious controversy and pushback. How do you feel about her response to this clash of genres? Notable Lines: They used to say I spoke too country. Then the rejection came, said I wasn't country 'nough. Taylor Swift vs. Kim Kardashian/Matt Healy/Joe Alwyn Taylor's had a lot on her plate this year, from her ongoing feud with Kim Kardashian to the drama involving Matt Healy and her breakup with Joe Alwyn. Which of these callouts do you find most intriguing? Notable Lines: And I'll forget you, but I'll never forgive the smallest man who ever lived. Drake vs. Kendrick These two have had a long-standing rivalry, but this year it escalated to a fever pitch with some intense lyrical battles and damning revelations. Whose side are you on? Notable Lines: No, you not a colleague, you a fuckin' colonizer. --- Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! And special thanks to Kat Williams for opening the vortex of chaos with his interview!

    Taylor's best guitar song?

We all know Taylor has pretty much perfected the soft-rock sound. I tried to exclude the overwhelmingly country songs and just stick to pop-rock and folk-rock songs with electric or acoustic guitars. Sorry if I missed any I had to edit list was getting too long.
  5. Which album is BIGGER and BETTER? vs
  6. Both of these ladies were known within the general public before the release of their respective albums. However, after releasing "LEMONADE" for Beyoncé and "LOVER" for Taylor Swift, both of their personas underwent a significant shift, propelling them into legendary status among the GP and stans. Now, we would like to compare all of their music post these albums (Post-Lover / Post-Lemonade). Who wins?

Which 2019 songstress remains on your playlists
  8. In my opinion, some of the "screaming" parts were actually good. It did sound like singing, just was powerful and the singer in the video had to hold their note for a long time; it can be difficult to hold a note for that long, that high, without it sounding like "screaming" eventually. and ANY singer will sound like 'screaming" when compared to Whitney. so i disagreed.
  9. Billie Eilish is releasing her anticipated(?) 3rd studio album "Hit Me Hard And Soft" this Friday after having announced it in early April and promoted it with excessive snippets & beauty shots since. Predict her first day Spotify streams! Some things to take into consideration: - The album consists of 10 tracks, no pre-release singles were released - Her previous album, Happier Than Ever, debuted with a disappointing 35.5M first day streams. Keep in mind it has +60% the amount of tracks compared to this new album - HTE had 5 pre-release and on-release highly playlisted singles. The album also had some abrasive, unlikely to be repeated Spotify promo on release, including immediate TTH and NMF covers and #1 placement, as well as an unprecedented "Happier Than Ever genre" button on all users' homepage linking to the album. - Some recent debuts by her peers with similar amounts of tracks: GUTS - 60.9M (12 tracks) Eternal Sunshine - 58.1M (13 tracks, 1 is an interlude) but then there's also... Radical Optimism - 20.5M unfiltered (11 tracks; filtered unknown due to songs missing the chart. ) Predict carefully, ATRL, as responses will be bumpedT accordingly in due time.

    Favourite BLACK P!NK single?

Her iconic R&B debut album spawned three singles: After releasing her third and final single from "Can Take Me to the Cookout", she had a bad plate of collards at Kandi "Can't Hit A Note, But Can Get a Check" Burruss' house and out of protest, decided to leave the black community and went down a more pop/pop rock route for her sophomore follow up. With Kandi refusing to pay her hospital costs for the food poisoning and her evil twin, somehow being released, P!nk decided to give us one last R&B single, a cover of the R&B CLASSIC with fellow black icons: Christina Aguilera, Mýa, Lil Kim and Missy Elliott. and with that: As quickly as she came, BLACK P!NK was gone. Out of the 4 singles released, which is your favourite? Would you like to see her return to this sound? Is this her best album? What other songs from this album would have like to see released? Do you want them to stop trying to rehash Lady Marmalade with lesser talented performers?

    Will Taylor use a surrogate?

Taylor is at the age that if she gets pregnant, it'd be considered a geriatric pregnancy. When she inevitably marries Travis and plans to start a family, will she turn to a surrogate so that she doesn't risk herself? It would also allow her to tour, and we know what a workaholic she is.
  16. Following the release of TTPD, Taylor Swift released a new setlist for the Eras Tour. This setlist now included a new section dedicated to her new album, at the expense of removing a few of the original songs from the setlist. Which setlist do you prefer? Pre-TTPD: Post-TTPD:

  19. Yesterday the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Malmö, Sweden with Switzerland winning the whole thing. I*rael was allowed to participate and had the second highest score in the televote but ultimately finished in 5th place. To everyone's surprise, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain and Italy all gave 12 points to the non-state. All these countries have the highest count of televoters year per year and it's hard to rig the televote when a lot of people are voting organically. So why did the GP in these 5 countries vote for them? Non-participating and non-European states were also allowed to vote. The Rest of World vote was also won by Israel.
