  3. President Biden's approval rating average is lower than any other president in recent history at the same point in their time in the White House, data released Friday found. The president averaged 38.7 percent job approval in his 13th quarter in office, which ran from Jan. 20 to April 19, according to averages aggregated by Gallup. In the same quarter, former President Trump had a 46.8 percent approval rating average; former President Obama's was 45.9 percent and former President George W. Bush's was 51 percent, according to Gallup. The second-lowest to Biden's in that time was former President George H.W. Bush, who had a 41.8 percent mark. The highest 13th-quarter number was former President Eisenhower, who had a 73.2 approval rating average at that point in 1956. 4. Before you discovered it yourself did anyone close to know you were gay or bi before you came out? sometimes its always the parents who know before you do
  5. St. Charles

Why do gays travel a lot?

It's not a criticism, traveling is awesome. But I'm just wondering because it seems like most of the gays I know are really into traveling to Europe, South America, etc multiple times a year even if they are barely able to afford it. Most of the other people I know travel every now and again, but not nearly as much as the gays. Is it just me or do you notice this as well?

  8. Now, the title may seem facetious and the whole idea of making a thread like this on atrl dot net might seem deeply unserious, but in lieu of providing deeply personal and traumatic information (something that the folk on the site CANNOT be trusted with: see the literal banner), I figured I would just ask in this rather curt way. I have tried/am getting professional help, am "killing it" academically where I am (grad school, prestigious uni), and have the "respect" (whatever that means) of my peers/professors. I've tried a lot of things. Here's the kicker though: none of it matters. It makes no difference. I have been dealing with this gnawing, crippling depression for more than a decade now, and successive losses of people for like 4 years straight in my "prime" or whatever have irreparably changed me. I do not really care about love, friendship, or whatever and so the reverse is true. None of it really matters; and I have a very complicated (read: corrosive) relation to my body image/food which is also cratering big time, toxically. It is not as simple as going to the gym; I get lost in thoughts about the time I lost and all that and it just spirals. I actually do/did exercise quite a bit; it usually made me feel like **** because of the weight of lost time as opposed to the often-touted panacea of endorphins. So. This thread might be uncomfortable, and isn't an attempt either way to get validation — certainly nothing "changes" based on the anonymous comments on here; but there is some power (or perhaps, liberatory disregard?) in asking strangers whether it is ethical to go on when one truly believes a life worth living is out of the question. What has held me back is my family, with whom ties are strained but are bound, for better or worse, by shared trauma. I'm also not explicitly seeking out survival stories from y'all, but would welcome them if it felt natural. [I should also add this is more so a discussion, I am not at risk as we speak, ideation, for today. Not intent yet.]
  9. I've just been finding the men that used to do it for me don't do it for me anymore, and the men that used to not do it for me are all I want. Has anyone else had a big shift in preferences within a few months? I mean aesthetics and personality.

  13. Sydney Sweenie is smashing in Hollywood. Sabrina Carpenter is smashing in music. Tiffany Stratton is smashing in sports. Are we witnessing a renaissance for the sexiness Paris Hilton/Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera era of Marilyn Monroe types or is this just a post-Barbie world fad trend that won't last much long that we are noticing right now? Should brunettes and red-haired girls be scared? Are tomboys and emo/goth/alt girls being replaced by "Barbie-dolls" again? Or is this simply a reponse to Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo being the Avril/P!nk of this generation but with roles now being reversed and the Britneys and Christinas of the world are now taking baci their throne?
  14. So my old "sugar daddy" from 2 years ago is back in my DMs... He lured me in back then by showing off his wealth , talking about the ways he would spoil his ex, looking for a new hot boyfriend like me, blah blah. But every time we met in person he was more focused on sex it seems, I didn't get any gifts or money just empty promises. So eventually I cut him off cuz the sex wasn't that good, and he couldn't even take me out to dinner without me asking first. I've been ignoring him for a year or making excuses to not see him but at the same time I feel like I'm wasting an opportunity to make something of this. He's a rich good looking man (mid 40s) and I don't need his money necessarily but he showed a lot of interest in my projects and would tell me about how he's willing to invest if we start dating properly. I was just tired of giving up my b*ussy without him making it official, but I feel like someone with more charisma and desperation would have better used this situation to their benefit. Am I naive to think he will even make me his boyfriend in the first place? Is he just using me? Does anyone else have experience with these type of men. He's not like rich rich but he's making close to 7 figures and I've been to the house, he's not a fraud. But I want some tips on how to make the most of this situation....
