Ifyou're happy living like this, you may be in "goblin mode." denozy/iStockphoto/Getty Images CNN — As you read this, look around. Are you still in bed? Are there piles of clothes and takeout food boxes strewn across the floor? Do you have chip crumbs on your sheets? Have you broken your self-care routine more times than you can count? Do you not even care? If so, you might already be in “goblin mode” – chosen by the public as the 2022 Oxford word of the year. According to Oxford University Press (OUP), publishers behind the Oxford English Dictionary, the slang term refers to a type of behavior which is “unapologetically self-indulgent, lazy, slovenly, or greedy, typically in a way that rejects social norms or expectations” – traits that may have become familiar to many during lockdown. Social media can portray idealized versions of self-improvement, from waking at 5 a.m. and drinking a green smoothie, to keeping a journal, exercising and planning your weekly meal prep. That era may be on the way out. In its place is goblin mode – the opposite of trying to better yourself. The rise of ‘goblin mode’ “Seemingly, it captured the prevailing mood of individuals who rejected the idea of returning to ‘normal life’, or rebelled against the increasingly unattainable aesthetic standards and unsustainable lifestyles exhibited on social media.” The term’s popularity may also be linked to the growth of new social media sites like BeReal, where users are invited once a day at random to post a photo of whatever they’re doing. Goodbye carefully curated social media feeds. Hello goblin mode. The release gives examples of examples of when the term has been used. Among the most vivid was quoted in The Guardian: “Goblin mode is like when you wake up at 2am and shuffle into the kitchen wearing nothing but a long t-shirt to make a weird snack, like melted cheese on saltines.” “People are embracing their inner goblin, and voters choosing ‘goblin mode’ as the Word of the Year tells us the concept is likely here to stay,” added Grathwohl. https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/05/world/oxford-word-goblin-mode-2022-intl-scli-wellness/index.html?utm_source=fbCNN&utm_medium=social&utm_content=2022-12-05T18%3A00%3A24&utm_term=link&fbclid=IwAR2LAMQBuiRy_HOIKGl9n-pV7mswypfAInhuLzvNYA7PIg83XobVBnDd5LU Well?

If Warnock does indeed win tonight, this election cycle will be the first since the direct election of senators began in 1914 in which no incumbent has lost reelection, either in a primary or a general election. And furthermore, this will be the first time since 1934 that any president, Democrat or Republican, has seen all incumbent senators of their party running for reelection win. In 1934, no Democratic incumbents lost reelection despite the president being a Democrat. Since then, every Democratic president has seen at least one Democratic senator lose reelection in each midterm, and every Republican president has seen at least one Republican senator lose per midterm.

Hot and salacious AI newcomer on the scene, ChatGPT, can write pretty much anything as long as you give it a prompt. Prompts can be as simple as "Katy Perry Grammy Acceptance Speech", "Kanye West's first gay crush on the President", "Bjork fights Germans during WWII", etc. Outputs can range from articles, dialogue for a speech or book, song lyrics, a narrative, etc. You can try it here: https://chat.openai.com/ You can also ask it complex questions, like "What are the best methods for increasing advertising revenue using Twitter", or maybe even, relevant to ATRL, "How does one fix ATRL's servers?". Below are some samples created in 2 seconds.

I’m sure there’s some clinical studies about this but has our collective morale just gone down because of current events? Seems like everyone is just barely holding on. Like every day there’s a new tragedy or something that makes us feel like the world is ending. How are you guys trying to cope and stay positive in your lives? Personally I feel so lost, lonely, and directionless in life because of the state the world is in, it feels like what’s the point?

Tikom Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo 2 in 1, 4500Pa Strong Suction, G8000 Pro Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, 150mins Max, Wi-Fi, Self-Charging, Good for Pet Hair, Carpet, Hard Floor https://a.co/d/0c8Vk9T This one is my model ^ and I love her. She sweeps mops and has a remote control with high suction power. The most I have seen at 4500 PA suction or w/e. It does a good job at mopping. Wish I woulda indulged in a self emptying one tho. That thing gets nasty lol. But it's all about the remote. This one does not have a mind of its own if you have the remote and can have it clean up spills or broken glass with ease. -

So I went on a “date” last night and I have not heard from him since. I don’t know, I thought we had a connection and I think he found me attractive, so it’s a bit weird to be ghosted like this It’s never happened to me before. I am now ruminating about all the things I may have said that turned him off. I guess I’d just prefer him to say I enjoyed our date but I’m not interested in taking it any further. I’d respect it even. But to be ghosted by him just seems a bit cruel. Share your experiences.
