  1. Obvious 4 that belong on the list are (in no order): Xtina A Gloria Estefan Selena Q Jennifer Lopez Who’s number 5? I think it may be Celia Cruz due to her contributions to Latin music in the United States along with her success on the charts and with the RIAA.
  2. Susan Sarandon is one of, if not the most, polarizing actresses in history. She has been a lightning rod for both the American left and right with her progressive views and her staunch opposition to moderates seen in not supporting Hillary Clinton and being a fierce loyal Bernie Stan. Some may say that she is standing her ground and being true to her core values. While others see her as the reason why Trumpism grew to where it is at and is a privileged loud hag. In all of this, there has been a reassessment of her political motives that show how her conviction remained and how Democrats like her nemesis Debra Messing used her as a scapegoat in their failings in the recent years. Some even say that she was ahead of her time for some people and more are realizing her bravery and dignity amid the attacks against her. when all is said and done, what do you think of Oscar winner Susan Sarandon? Do you think of her? Do we forgive ha? Will history be kind to her? MEL MAGAZINE Sarandon’s unforgivable sin, as establishment Dems and #Resistance types see it, was to endorse Sen. Bernie Sanders in the 2016 presidential primaries, and then Green Party candidate Jill Stein in the general election. That’s it. Needless to say, Sarandon’s single vote for Stein in the state of New York — where Hillary Clinton easily won — did not get Trump elected. Even if you attribute literally every Stein vote nationwide to Sarandon’s influence, the math does not support the conclusion that these women together cost Clinton the presidency. That Sarandon emerged as a prime target, however, is a sign of deeply personal acrimony. She flips a rage switch because she’s supposed to be one of them. A glamorous, white, fundraiser-attending, bleeding-heart 75-year-old Hollywood icon still knocking ’em dead on the red carpet. How dare she deny Hillary, or any mealy-mouthed Democrat, the uncritical devotion that is meant to follow from that identity? She owes them, but instead she holds them to account, as if they can be expected to represent the will of their constituents. How absurd! She ought to be posting blue wave emojis and the word VOTE a few hundred times a day like a good concerned wine mom, not marching in the streets for civil rights and labor unions. These cretins honestly believe that an “In This House” yard sign does more to uphold democracy than free speech itself. They can’t stand that while their leaders dither and surrender, she never yields. https://melmagazine.com/en-us/story/susan-sarandon-political-activism-abortion-decision
  3. Just a Gay on ATRL

    We need gifs from this!

the amount of funny gifs I’m envisioning from this video
  4. Out of all Rihanna albums, Loud have most hits but still have the most forgettable ones. No doubt, Only Girl In The World and Love The Way you lie were undeniable smashes but they didnt stand the test of time like We Found Love, Diamonds, Work, Umbrella, Rude Boy, Pon De Replay and Unfaithful. Does Loud really have the most forgettable hits? Why?
  5. Solaria

    Is Katy Perry an icon?

I feel like a lot of people on here and outside ATRL like to downplay her achievements and place on the pop music scene. Let’s not forget Katy smashed for three consecutive eras, and Teenage Dream is cited by a lot of artists as the ‘perfect pop album’. Would you consider miss Hudson an icon or not?
  6. Will she/he? If so, why? Be honest!
  7. Minogue

    BER smashing, surprised?

Despite 0 push and no MV, Mariahs remix is the leading version in main markets like Australia and UK (where the song has been charting only for 5 weeks basically pure remix impact) charting @ #6 & #28 respectively and still climbing. also after an expected drop in streams in the first few weeks (still insanely consistent for Mariah’s and Lattos standards) the remix is picking up again in streams on Spotify and even charting in a few markets while comfortably sitting in the top 30~ on AM in AUS/UK. How come the Xmas fad is getting a smash in MAY?
  8. Dua was at the top of her game and Miley just released "Plastic Hearts" which had a decent #2 debut on the Billboard 200. What went wrong with this collab?
  9. Which artists got cursed after performing in the superbowl?
  10. Can ATRL look past their burning hatred for Camila Cabello to admit that Bam Bam is fun and catchy as hell?
  11. "Dua Lipa", a song off Jack Harlow's new album, is the #1 song on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist and has entered Today's Top Hits at #15: Congrats to Jack on the great promo!
  12. Tini and María Becerra seem to be the Argentine Main Pop Girls currently. Duki, Tiago PZK, Lit Killah and Paulo Londra are the Main Pop Boys.
  13. They really were the biggest artists of 2004 and to collab on a song and serve quality A 6 week #1 on the Hot 100 and his 4th consecutive #1 after Yeah! (12 weeks), Burn (8 weeks) and Confessions (2 weeks) They occupied the entire year end top 3 of 2004 with "Yeah!", "Burn" and "If I Ain't Got You" while Alicia had the biggest female album of 2004 "The Diary of Alicia Keys" and Usher had the biggest male album of the year with "Confessions"

Since U Been Gone vs 4ever

Which iconic 2005 Dr. Luke / Max Martin hit is better and more remembered?
  20. Taylor has changed release strategies with each Taylor's Version. However, her plans seem to have stalled, since it has been 5 full months since the last release, and NO announcement is imminent. First, releasing one single (Love Story) and a couple of the Vault tracks before Fearless (TV), then releasing NO songs before a long wait for Red (TV), Taylor has now released Wildest Dreams (TV), over a month before Red (TV)'s release, and has just today released This Love (TV). Many Swifties were expecting an announcement for 1989 (TV) today with This Love's release. However, it seems to be a one off soundtrack single, which is odd because when Wildest Dreams was used for a soundtrack we didn't get it until it went viral on Tik Tok months later, and Bad Blood (TV) was used for a DC League of Superpets movie and we did not get that. So what is with the hold up? Is Taylor torturing her fans? Does she not have a plan? Is 1989 the next TV coming, or will she surprise us again? Or is TS10 (Woodvale/Seashore/Sycamore) coming sooner than we think?
