  1. Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of the biggest and most influential pop stars of our generation. With multiple successful albums, countless hit singles, and a loyal fan base, she has cemented her place in the music industry. But as she continues to dominate the charts and break records, one question remains: Has Taylor Swift reached the peak of her fame? Over the years, we have seen Taylor Swift evolve from a country singer-songwriter to a global pop sensation. Her music has resonated with people of all ages and backgrounds, and her performances are nothing short of spectacular. But with every peak, there is bound to be a decline; The Tortured Poets Department, her latest album, has received mixed reviews and her public image has faced some backlash. Despite these challenges, Taylor Swift's fan base remains loyal and her success is undeniable. She has proven time and time again that she is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. But with her current level of fame and accomplishments, is there really anywhere left for her to go? Has she reached the height of her career, or is there still room for growth and even greater success? It's time for... ASK ATRL! DISCLAIMER: I am not implying that Taylor Swift's career is over or that she has peaked. This is simply a discussion about an artist's journey and the various stages of success in the music industry.
  2. You know what should take a fortnight? Album reviews. - Bloomberg I wholeheartedly agree with this article. Thoughts?
  3. Britney's peak was no bigger than Madonna, Adele, Gaga nor Taylor. Tbh she only sold tons of albums because she would limit her singles sales to ensure bigger album sales (that explains her mediocre Hot 100 peaks back in the day) Once digital sales became a thing, she kinda flipped from album artist to singles artist Not saying she wasn't successful, but it's overrated
  4. Katy wanted Unconditionally to take off so bad but everyone said NO
  5. She has released two mediocre albums in a row with Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department. Even 1989 TV had sloppy production. Can she still make another good album like Folklore? Is Jack Antonoff holding her back? Should she take a break? Discuss.
  6. - The endless strings of metaphors and similes on this record just fall flat. "The writing quality on these tracks really makes it difficult to feel for Taylor in the midst of all of this heartbreak." - Taylor hasn't taken the time conceptually or sonically to formulate a new sound, a new direction, a new evolution to coincide with this latest album cycle which she usually does with her new albums. "As a result, the material on this record on the broader pop landscape sounds derivative, sounds redundant, sounds uninspired." "I think she's closing those creative gaps by copying her contemporaries' homework. Ariana already wrote the angry at my audience for dragging me over my boyfriend anthem-of-the-year with yes, and? The song imgonnagetyouback - Olivia Rodrigo literally already did this same wordplay concept on get him back! with her latest record. There's already Florida!!! and Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? where Taylor cannot help herself from ripping off Lana Del Rey again and again and again not only lyrically, but vocally and melodically." - She needs to stop working with Jack Antonoff. "To put it bluntly, she needs to stop working with him or take a break because their creative partnership on this record is not yielding the results it used to. We're now getting multiple instrumentals that feel like Midnights but worse." "Jack forcing some awful 80s pastiche onto Taylor's songs that make them sound dated upon impact." "Jack's work with Taylor is just not what it used to be." Positive takeaways: loml is the best song on the album.

    Lemonade turns 8

Beyoncé's best album was released accompanied by a film on HBO. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 earning 653,000 units in 5 days, and ending the year as the #1 album on IFPI. The album is one of the most awarded albums in history; including 8 VMAs, a Peabody and 2 Grammy awards. Promotion for the album included jawdropping historic performances at the Superbowl, BET Awards, MTV VMAs, CMAs and Grammys.
  8. The smash WCBF coming to avenge its run
  9. Her singles everybody and ftcu have been spammed on radio but never took off besides radio. Why?
  10. Released as the final single of her Try This era, it peaked at #21 in the UK

    Is Taylor "that b*tch"?

there have been countless threads about her in the last three days about all kinds of things. no other big release this year generated this many conversations. "You know you that ***** when you cause all this conversation. Always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper" - Beyonce Is Taylor "that b*tch"?
  12. After her global smash, Cruel Summer, Annie Clark is coming back with her new album this Friday. Will you be tuning in for AOTY?
  13. The critics and Twitter go hard on TTPD, even worse than MIDnights and Over, are not clicking with me The album is great, so on brand with her, not her best work indeed, yet definitely better than bland Lover and, hell, even Midnights is the one where Jack recycled most of his production, and furtherly recycled it with 1989 Vault Tracks but this album is the one which criticized for doing it, when it's definitely giving The 1975 met The Bleachers more sonically Do you think most of the rejection this album gets, simply because people using it as punching bag for her continuous music outputs, instead of criticizing the material itself? Do you think she should just continue the re-recording, finish it this year, and came back with TTPD next year?
  14. She laced this album with audio crack. Nearly 2 months later and it is still hitting in all the right places. Some really amazing stuff in here. do you agree or disagree?

Is it unethical to stan a billionaire?

I'm pretty sure we've all heard of the phrase "eat the rich" before, but in the world of pop music, it seems like the opposite is happening. With the rise of ultra-wealthy celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Ava Max, and Beyoncé, fans are not only cheering for their music, but also for their massive bank accounts. Some even use it as a counter argument in fan wars, saying their fave's money proves their superiority over others. But is it morally ethical to support and idolize someone with such extreme wealth, let alone be one in the first place? Should we turn a blind eye to the fact that these celebrities are standing on top of a system that perpetuates income inequality and exploitation? Or is it just harmless fun and we should all let them have their money and enjoy their music in peace? Pictured: Taylor Swift's two private jet uses during jan 24 2023-feb 11 2023
  17. From her new song So Long, London: She heavily implies that Joe was dealing with clinical depression, which is why she broke up with him. I am not judging her for her decision to break up over this; depression can be a *****, but why expose it to the world knowing how miserable he is because of his condition already?
  18. TTPD has tremendously grown on me and that's all that matters. Beyoncé's fans were just desperate for a reason to spread their hate towards Taylor and her unbelievable success. Let them have it and focus on enjoying the music.
