What are some songs that seem to go on too long and they suffer from it as a result? Thankfully Madonna took care of this with her smash cover!

What are some songs that should go on for another 30 seconds or so to feel complete?

Like in 2018 she did a limited edition for three of her albums and this year being the "global ambassador" she releases a limited quantity of a 7" vinyl with two songs (same one) that aren't even singles... I'm just curious of what y'all think about this Btw, who managed to get one?

Two of the biggest stars of the 2000s, a high profile comeback lead single, but no one cared about this song. The first line you hear is "I walk on water but I ain't no Jesus, I walk on water but only when it freezes" sung in a dramatic fashion IMO it's such a cringey and embarrassing lyric. Is that why people were turned off?

Did she outsell her golden era (BTD), the lo-fi NFR! single covers, and BB’s car selfie, etc. with these? -

Alizée was the biggest star in France at the dawn of the new millennium, her song Moi.. Lolita broke the charts across Europe (France No.2 and UK No.9), this was impressive and insane for her being only 15 years old at the time. Her debut album Gourmandises (worked by the hands of Mylene Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat) peaked at No.1 in France and sold 4 million copies in Europe alone. She peaked at No.1 with L'Alize making it her first No.1 in France by the end of 2000 - by 2003 she released Mes Courants Électriques and the singles all did well (J'en ai marre! has one of most iconic performances in the pop world and is still remembered). However by 2007, the Psychédélices era was a HUGE FLOP and her following albums seems to flopped harder (5 main single only peaked at 131 in her home country) she hasn't been able to gain the same success or a hit since 2003. French ATRLers and whose who know the french pop scene - what the hell happened?

base talk Why didn't Bridgit Mendler become a pop girl like Selena & Miley?
johnny_9ss posted a topic in Base
Bridgit Mendler released her debut album in October 2012 while she was still the star of a very successful Disney channel show. It sold 12,000 copies in its first week, very little compared to the 66,000 Selena sold. Why? She was the first Disney girl to put out music after the holy trinity (Demi, Selena, Miley). Why couldn't she build on their success? -

I keep thinking about the possibilities of parallel universes and how they would look like. Imagine that the same exact person but instead of choosing the name Lady Gaga she would have chosen Lady Agag. Would her carrer be the same?

base talk Why Are Older Pop Girl Stan Wars + Discussions Better Than The New?
raven posted a topic in Base
There's been so many older stan war (i.e. involving Britney, Christina, Katy, Gaga, etc.) threads come up in the base/chart discussions that do numbers whereas the threads that involve newer generation don't seem to take off or generate as much discussion. Are the new girls just not as fun and exciting to talk about, or are most of us just old on here? -

In it's 108th week of charting, Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia has risen from 11th place to #1 this week in Australia, marking it not once, not twice but THREE times the album spent #1 weeks in ARIA charts. Elsewhere the alleged "global and longevity" pop star Camila Cabello left the ARIA charts just after one (1!) week of charting, going from it's 27th peak to OUT into it's second week. Why? Are you as shocked as I am? Is this a great week for Loves and a bad week for Camilizers? Let's discuss!

Answer with honesty please. I think she def is. She is actually the leading lady of the current MPGs. Her lead single always debuts at the top of the Hot 100 She helped Save Your Tears to the #1 spot and make it stay in the top 10/20 for A YEAR SO FAR! She is the most streamed female artist ever on Spotify.

The acclaimed remix of "Save Your Tears" that Ariana wrote and produced by herself (in her living room) just turned a year old today. The song has been equally praised by fans and critics, mainly for Ariana's lower and whistle register that she uses in the song. Some amazing achievements: Over 1B+ streams (725m Spotify/ 330m+ YouTube) Universally acclaimed #1 on Hot 100 (2 weeks) #1 in Canada #1 song in the World (Global 200) Ariana's longest charting song in history (67 weeks) 6x Billboard Award nominees Viral live performance (120m views on YT alone, goes viral on Tik Tok every other week) Celebrate the anniversary by streaming the song/live performance!
