  1. Billie, Olivia, Dua and Doja are the Gen Z darlings. What do you think their careers will look like? I predict Billie will always have a very stable career with a dedicated fanbase and good numbers. I do think she’s able to get another monster era like WWAFA but even if she doesn’t she will last a long time Olivia is hard to say.. as of right now I feel like she is massive and easily could have the same career as Taylor. However I don’t know how versatile she is considering she only has one album out. I don’t know if she is capable of exploring different sounds. Dua will be a strong hitmaker for years to come, her third album will probably be even bigger than FN in numbers, but probably wont have the same cultural impact. She’ll stay a long time Doja I’m the most scared for. I think she has that Rihanna type appeal and I do think the GP loves her a LOT, however I see her sound becoming tired real quick and I feel the Pop rap boom might become a fad like early 2010s electropop. I feel like she has the most potential to fall down

    Best DWTDTAOSO track

After a year reaching 1 bln streams on spotify, which tracks are your favorite?
  3. To put it simply: why?
  4. Invasion of Privacy was released April 2018 to great success. It's been 4 years and she's managed to score several hits since, but no new body of work. What do you think the hold up is for Misses Belcalis' second album (Cursed by Fame)? Back in 2021, she said she’s recording a new album in a “ghetto ass studio”, but there's been no news since & her recent string of features made little noise. Is she back to the drawing board? Is she waiting on an op to drop? Is it writers block? Thots below.
  5. When LFL first came out it was hands down my favorite Lana album. There was so much hype for it from the fanbase at the time of its debut. The tempo was slightly faster compared to her admitted vanity projects, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon, and the press/ media were seeming to warm back up to Lana again and recognize her talent on a grander scale in a way that it hadn’t before. As her first album with featured artists, and containing 16 tracks, it was albeit polarizing but exciting to experience from the get-go! As years passed (and Lana became ultra-acclaimed for working with Jack Antonoff, especially with the release of MAC and Venice *****, career highlights), LFL took the fall as being lazy, messy, repetitive, and just overall horrible. It became the cool thing to do to bandwagon hate on the album, and now has been a shtick for the Lipsters for years. However, upon listening back for the first time in a while today, on this beautiful spring morning/ afternoon, I’m feeling all of my old emotions towards the album from when it first came out coming back. Did the gheys judge it too harshly? Is it actually not that bad of an album in (more) retrospect?
  6. The straight GP singing one of Miss Lipa's many classics at the top of their lungs The way she has that Rihanna factor Do you think this year's headliner could replicate this iconique video, ATRL?
  7. Their new album is 34 tracks long and only 4 tracks are new songs and the rest are their old songs from the last 8 years And they're labelling at as an anthology album https://twitter.com/PopBase/status/1523680797579874304/photo/2 Their fans are eating this up too. A greatest hits album is completely not needed in the streaming era and for them to even have the nerve to brand is as an anthology album as if it's artsy is just
  8. Simpler times... The start of Mr. Worldwide's domination across the globe, and the States was not exception. "Hotel Room Service" received generally favorable reviews and great commercial reception. The song peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming in Pitbull's 2nd Top 10 hit. It also reached Top 10 in Canada, France, Ireland and the UK. The sample is fiyah, and makes the song, but Pitbull also adds something on it that makes it a definite fun bop. Do you remember this song?
  9. I’d say yes, she literally fuzed all the good elements of her past albums into one pop-tastic piece of work.
  10. fan or not Gaga during 2010 was the explosion everyone around the world is talking about her it's reminiscent of Madonna and Britney but after over 10 years, is there someone?
  11. Have fans moved on? Are there no younger Gen Z members to fill the Dua, Olivia, Doja and Billie bases?
  12. These come to my mind
  13. Such a strong force here but with little impact. Is Spotify hidding numbers for her?
  14. Virgos Groove

    Revolver appreciation thread

My love's a revolver My sex is a killer Do you wanna die happy? Do you wanna die happy? Such a BOP.
  15. Bad Bunny - 31 Ed Sheeran, Olivia Rodrigo - 7 The Weeknd- 6 Jack Harlow - 5 Honorable mentions (4 tracks) Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Rauw Alejandro, Harry Styles Is your artist global enough?
  16. KevinKDC

    3rd albums missteps?

We often talk about the sophomore curse, but it seems like there a few that a huge sophomore album, but failed to follow up commercially afterwards. First two that come to mind are: My December after Breakaway Solar Power after melodrama. What else?
  17. I would say Gaga because she had a majorly substantial increase with ASIB; something Britney’s never had.
  18. Could it be that the GP is deciding what should have been released as singles?
  19. such a beautifully written song
  20. Would you be here for it? Mariah jumped on the Big Energy remix because it samples "Genius of Love" which she sampled in "Fantasy". "About Damn Time" samples "Hey DJ" which Mariah sampled in "Honey". It seems a Lizzo/Mariah remix could happen...
