Kinda indifferent to Justin Timberlake, but find his current comeback fascinating. He for sure is getting retroactive hate from the Janet / Britney debacles (deserved IMO), but also seems to be managing to stay somewhat afloat with his core audience (as seen by his tour ticket sales and stability of Selfish). With that, what do we think the first week sales of his new album Everything I Thought It Was will be? Man of the Woods did 293,000 first week, but IIRC that was with some kind of tour ticket bundle/discount? Y'all think he'll do similar numbers? I'm seeing 100-150k (at best) with all the variants.

She's serving VISUALS just like Xtina in the "Back to Basics" era yes, and? similarly to "Ain't No Other Man" received lukewarm reception on radio both peaking at #19 on airplay she's smashing with a 2nd single ballad "We Can't Be Friends" just like Xtina's "Hurt" Thoughts?

Her vocal prowess at such a young age Diane snapped as well. the song was #12 on the 90s Billboard decade-end list and #1 on their 2010s recalibration with a new formula and post-90s data -

I keep seeing people bring up rock and I really don't want that to be the case. I'm one of the few that seems to be disappointed with act ii being country and I really don't want the last album to be anything but R&B based because let's be real, after act iii; we're not getting a new album for YEARS to come and do y'all really want the last album from Bey for years to be a rock album? I really need an album full of R&B before she goes back into hiding.

base talk What explains Billie's lovely stability on streaming?

The song never peaked very high, but the stability is simply unreal. Why is that? Discuss. -
As pretty much everyone on this website is aware, Beyoncé released two songs this past month from her upcoming country album Act II. The general concept of this and the previous era being to reclaim black-originated music genres that are now erroneously seen and gatekept as white-exclusive music spaces - particularly within areas such as country radio and country's awards circuit. Fast forward to now; Texas Hold Em has reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the UK Singles Chart and other major markets across the globe. While fantastic and record-breaking on its own, the success of the song is also prompting listeners to indulge in music by other black country artists. As a regular country listener, it can be hard to find releases from these artists due to a lack of platforming for them within the genre. The fear is that country spaces accept Beyoncé for this era but choose to not highlight any other black women, effectively changing nothing in the long run despite the intention of the era. To improve visibility, use this thread to share and listen to releases from black ladies in country music. Here are some I regularly listen to.

On March 17th 2014, Cher Lloyd released “Sirens” as the second and final single from her sophomore effort ‘Sorry I’m Late’. It failed to see commercial success unfortunately. It didn’t even crack the top 40 in her native UK. But the song received critical acclaim and praise from Cher’s industry peer Leigh Anne Pinnock. Dare I say her most underrated single ? This deserved to smash everywhere around the world
