  4. No one wants to wake up to the news I woke up to this morning. No one. I was preparing my coffee, turning on wi-fi and the first thing I read is: “Fifth Harmony announces hiatus". I blinked my eyes countless times and I went on Facebook just to see more and more posts about it. I couldn't believe it. My Fifth Harmony dream was over and there I was at 8AM sitting in my kitchen looking at the screen of my iPhone. I know this may sound a bit too much but… Yes. Tears started falling from my eyes and they wouldn't stop. I don't consider this to be an over dramatic reaction like many of you could easily consider. I look at it as unconditional love, dedication and passion. Something unexplainable, no one can translate love into words or even admiration. Some people get your attention and you don't know why. And while I am fully aware that Fifth Harmony are not over, they're just on a hiatus , I also am aware that it's never going to be the same. It doesn't matter if it is Camila or Dinah or Lauren or Ally or Normani. It doesn't. I saw this girlgroup being born when they were just five little girls. A few years later they turned into strong and confident women and extremely inspirational. They brought the term “girlgroup" back in the music industry and scored two of the biggest hits of this new decade. I was obsessed and extremely proud of it. I've always been aware that girlgroups are not meant to last and that's why I flew to Paris just to see them live last year. I knew this was a fast career and that's why I spent over 800€ on this girlgroup (I've watched them live twice, I met them twice, I bought their music, I took a trip just to see them, paid hotel… You make the counts!). I wanted to live it as much as I could and looking back I am so proud of every single thing I did for them. They brought back my fan vein in a way I've never experienced before. Britney Spears, Shakira… They're both established artists and it's another story on how their careers are handled. Every Fifth Harmony fan was aware that they were flops. Ever since “Worth It" became a smash, something went wrong and the relationship between Camila and the four girls has always been weird. There's indifference and I don't know what to think. Nonetheless, I am no one to judge that. All I want to make clear is: Fifth Harmony are never going to be Fifth Harmony again and that's why I feel like my dream has been crashed. My Fifth Harmony dream has ended. It hurts so bad when you're not prepared… After all they announced a third album last week. And no. I am not turning my back on them. This was a rough decision but I know what it's like to be in a place where you don't belong or feel included and sometimes... It's better to just go for it. Yet, I always like to see things from the bright side and I am going to always support Fifth Harmony as a group just like any of the five girls as individual acts. They've had an amazing and beautiful impact in my life. Fourth (Fifth) Harmony… Good luck. Camila Cabello… Normani… Diane….. Lauren…. Ally…..Good Luck. Fifth Harmony… Thank You. You've given me the ultimate fan experience and you've been so inspirational. All of you. “You're my everlasting love" Fifth Harmony, “Everlasting Love"

    Made-Up Albums Thread

Hi, ATRL! In the great merge and closure of posts, the Made-Up Albums Thread got lost and it was one of my personal favorite places for stans to plan out future/past/current eras for their faves. This included details like tracklists, singles, album covers, promotional pieces, charting stats, etc. Please feel free to use this thread as you did the previous one, share made-up albums/eras and get as creative as you'd like!

Does ATRL owe Max Martin an apology?

ATRL has been saying he hasn't been able to produce excellent music in a while, calling him washed up and that he's lost his hitmaking abilities, but he just scored 2 #1 songs in 2024 and has executive produced one of Ariana Grande's best albums. Does ATRL owe Max Martin an apology?
  10. Which set would you delete? (Acoustic set included!)
  11. theres many other tweets like this. thoughts?
  12. Moo...I Am Cow is Mariah's second-worst album but it has these absolute gems: HM to Rainbow for having some random filler but it having a handful of her best career tracks.
  13. Murder on the dancefloor was going up the charts but it seems that once tiktok pulled music from its app its streaming numbers on spotify collapsed. Radio has also began dropping it Who is at fault here for it not turning into a huge radio hit? Is it tiktok? Delusional atrl gays? Corrupt radio? Sophie and her label for moving to slow ro cease on the moment?
  14. A popular meme regarding pop girl tiers from 2018, how different is it now in 2023 Legends: Queens: Beyonce: Overrated: Currently Flopping: Can't Get a #1: Has Few Hits: Fads: One Hit Wonder: Only Popular on Twitter/TikTok: New Girls: Underrated:
  15. Is she unable to come up with creative ideas on her own? Who do you think will be next on Camila's moodboard? Thoughts?
  16. She undoubtedly has some of the most iconic looks to ever be worn in history, as well as moments and quotes everyone remembers. But who can rival her? And sadly, her untimely death. We love you, Diana
  17. With the amazing video of "We Can't Be Friends" potentially being a huge ingredient for its smashery, do any other songs come to mind?
  18. With many people discussing that a shoegaze revival may be on the horizon (largely due to Billie's Eilish's highly anticipated 3rd studio album) I got to thinking about one of its sister genres that was also popular back in the day, Jangle Pop. Some Examples: Would you be here for this kind of sound re-entering the mainstream? Discuss.
  19. Kinda indifferent to Justin Timberlake, but find his current comeback fascinating. He for sure is getting retroactive hate from the Janet / Britney debacles (deserved IMO), but also seems to be managing to stay somewhat afloat with his core audience (as seen by his tour ticket sales and stability of Selfish). With that, what do we think the first week sales of his new album Everything I Thought It Was will be? Man of the Woods did 293,000 first week, but IIRC that was with some kind of tour ticket bundle/discount? Y'all think he'll do similar numbers? I'm seeing 100-150k (at best) with all the variants.
  20. She's serving VISUALS just like Xtina in the "Back to Basics" era yes, and? similarly to "Ain't No Other Man" received lukewarm reception on radio both peaking at #19 on airplay she's smashing with a 2nd single ballad "We Can't Be Friends" just like Xtina's "Hurt" Thoughts?
  21. Her vocal prowess at such a young age Diane snapped as well. the song was #12 on the 90s Billboard decade-end list and #1 on their 2010s recalibration with a new formula and post-90s data
  22. ‘Are you ready for pop lessons?’ *Dua Lipa gulps* *Ariana Grande breaths heavily* *Taylor Swift nods nervously* *Billie Eilish sighs* ‘Yes Ava Max' they say in unison
  23. What is this It has that soap opera effect that makes it look cheap More downgrades incoming over the next few weeks. Superior original version:
