  1. KatyPrismSpirit

Is The Weeknd out-Truth Hurts-ing Lizzo?

Jesus its literally coming for #1
  2. What are your thoughts, ATRL? Personally, it feels bigger than “Savage” to me, and others such as “Big Energy”, but certainly not as big as “Bodak Yellow/I Like It/WAP”. Doja Cat’s “Woman/Vegas” feel bigger too. I don’t get the “Fancy” input though because “Super Bass/Starships” was arguably bigger than that song.
  3. 10 Years of The Love Club EP https://twitter.com/LordeUpdatesBR/status/1594666415893741568 The Love Club EP was uploaded to Soundcloud 10 years ago, not long after Lorde turned 16. Lorde started working with producer and co-writer Joel Little in late 2011. The Love Club EP would be released on major digital and streaming platforms in 2013, and Royals went on to go #1 on the Alternative Songs Chart, #1 on the Hot 100 and she would release Pure Heroine in September of 2013, all while she was still 16. By the end of 2013, Royals would be a 9 week #1 and she would have four Grammy nominations. The minimalist sound of The Love Club EP, Royals and Pure Heroine would be a major influence on pop in the 2010s and beyond. When did you first hear Royals or the Love Club EP? I was one of the late ones in early 2013.
  4. Since speak now tv is rumored to be released after midnights, which TVs will be Taylor's most successful re-recording? Red tv is right now more successful than fearless tv but I think that the next 4 TVs can be more successful than red tv somehow. I think that 1989/red tv will be the front runners, but speak now tv can be the dark horse!!!
  5. Since Super Freaky Girl Nicki has released these songs and the chart peaks are there also: Love in the Way: #93 Likkle Miss (& The Fine Nine Remix): Didn't chart I Admit: #108 Tukoh Taka: TBD (Currently #20 on iTunes and N/A on AM and Spotify) WHY?
  6. 3 years ago today, Tinashe dropped this.
  7. Despite Meghan being tossed aside by Epic for the last few years, she just hit top 40 on the Hot 100 with solo single Made You Look, a feat that Camila has not been able to achieve with a solo single since NBTS despite having complete label backing in the form of TTH residencies, radio payola, and constant promo spots. Are you surprised? Did Epic make a mistake with supporting an inorganic, collab-aided artist with a problematic past over Miss Trainor?
  8. Another top 20 hit for Chris Brown. He is scoring top 20 hits every year since 2018.. Freaky Friday (2018),No Guidance (2019),Go Crazy (2020),Go Crazy Remix (2021), Under the influence (2022) . Surprised?
  9. Last week, Dorothy Carvello nominated herself to the Board of Warner Music Group Carvello is seeking to become WMG’s agitator-in-chief. For years she has alleged sexual assault by current and former WMG executives against herself, other former Warner employees and WMG female artists. Carvello added in the kicker that Warner Music Group has not been properly paying its artist royalties going back as far as 40 years. Her thesis is simple: Warner Music Group cannot attract top female artists or employees in a corporate culture that she believes is beyond broken. She contends that change must happen from within, not from silencing victims with NDAs and hush money. source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/sexual-assault-universal-proxy-cards-181206543.html?guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvLnVrLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAJ1GJkWZ79ov7Ql48ftWz9uVPRph1SV99ZAvQNihC2wUYlZNyVUGKQkzK5e42xsl6ZH0ASPydbjMLKy_xh1FnKCAtwQQgA4la84sNfsSaAwUl8B-OhAwSxkUwKJDsagvoDzlV2dlCf2eg0ojG4RA8nT_IV0w2NqBWAObRoqfRRpX
  10. Are there any beloved immaculate iconic groundbreaking albums that didn’t had a tour?
  11. From combined official versions on Youtube and Spotify, not including live versions. 12,5 years after its official release
  12. GraceRandolph

    Better Leads: Adele or Taylor?

Looking at their first four lead singles, which are stronger?
  13. Legend Dionne Warwick has been confirmed as the headliner for Macy's Parade 2022. Dionne, who performed as far back as 1984 returns to the stage for the first time in quite a while. The parade’s executive producer Will Coss described this year’s event in a statement as “another spectacle full of magic and wonder that will help create everlasting memories with loved ones during this special time of year.” Other performers include Jordin Sparks, Gloria Estefan, Paula Abdul and Mariah Carey along with a host of other entertainment. Should be a great day and event. https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2022/nov/02/paula-abdul-dionne-warwick-among-2022-macys-thanks/
  14. In my opinion, it's Katy Perry Good voice + scenography + the robotic lion = Excellence.
  15. what would you feel? would you feel satisfied with the material they released? would you be happy that their last album in their careers is that album? would you feel sad? would you feel that it was for the best? do you think it has potential to keep a successful/acclaimed career for more years?
  16. I Am Sasha Fierce era had her most iconic MV and look (Single Ladies) which was a cultural phenomenon and her biggest classic to this day (Halo) And yet she was just seen as a regular pop girl at the time Then sometime after her first pregnancy announcement and right before Self-Titled, her celebrity and stature blew up exponentially and only kept growing after This is unlike most artists whose celebrity/star power peak around the same time as their commercial/cultural peak And tbh I think the same thing happened to Rihanna whose star power/status peaked long after GGGB, starting from the iconic Met Gala "omelette dress" moment
  17. The way she just always knows which songs best suit her vocals Calm Down reaches top 5 on Billboard's Global 200
  18. -The amount of negative press -the thousands of migrant workers who had to die to build those stadiums -their treatment of LGBTQ+ people -their national team getting humiliated the first day -no celebrity with integrity wanted to be part of that mess so they got Nicki, maluma to record the theme song.
  19. Please keep it drama free. You can either give your reasons or just name the artist. Besides Billie, I’ll have to say Ariana Grande, sure she’s got a great voice but that’s about it I just cannot get into her music…
