  1. Beyoncé’s CUFF IT has been ranked the best song of 2022 by NME They foresee it becoming it a huge classic and I have to agree, it’s so infectious and timeless. They also spilled about the bridge it’s the best part You can view the entire list here

Do you miss bridges in pop music?

I Feel like streaming & tik tok really killed the effort of producers & songwriters to create this beautiful part of a song. Bridges , in the past, were beautiful moments that elevated the last chorus by temporarily changing the chords and introducing new melodies that felt like you were in the middle part of a hurricane. Examples of great pop bridges :

Thoughts on 'Art Angels' 7 years later?

so, I was re-listening to Art Angels today and I realized it's now 7 years old. surprisingly (mainly because the sound), the album kinda has aged better than I was expecting, so many incredible pop anthems like Flesh Without Blood, Kill V. Maim, Artangels, World Princess II and Pin (!!!) have stood the test of time so well, although others like Easily and California not. it continues to be my favorite Grimes' project along with Visions. what are your thoughts on Grimes' most accessible yet most critically acclaimed album now that time has passed?
  6. When Miley said her comeback single was named “We Can’t Stop” I thought it was gonna sound like this: “We can't stop We can't stop Out on this lonely road It's on the road to love” But in reality it was nothing like it lol
  7. Thank you, next was a resounding success. She became a solidified MPG and the hits from that album were a huge success. however she followed up that momentum with a slower/chill album that was a departure from the fun sound of TUN and then went to join a singing competition show as a judge (mostly reserved for C list celebrities who peaked decades ago) and then disappeared and got married. I have a feeling when she comes back with a new project she will not see as much success and the GP would have moved on from her. did Ariana (Run Pop) Grande waste her imperial years?
  8. Pick me, choose me, love me Give me a more iconic TV line and delivery by the TV industry (Ellen Pompeo)... I'll wait....
  9. Ashlee was poised to inherit Avril's throne as the princess of 2000s pop-rock. Her debut era was smashing left and right, with historic first-week album sales. Then, a 10-second screw-up on live TV ended her entire career unjustly... and the rest is history. With the return of female pop-rock to the mainstream, and with her career-ending gaffe now ancient history, is it time for Ashlee to finally have justice in the form of a redemption comeback?
  10. I heard 'evermore' for the first time about 3 weeks ago, and damn, I only regret not doing it before because I thought it could be too "boring". How wrong I was, I was missing a lot of gems. One of them being the stunning "dorothea" The delicate production The absolutely mesmerizing melodies I'm just amazed by how beautiful the song is, and Taylor's voice suits it soooooo perfectly. I don't see it being one of the most streamed tracks off the album, tf. What are your thoughts?

Did U See Britney During Her Prime?

Have anyone here seen Britney live in Concert during her prime years? I seen her during The Onyx Hotel Tour in Philadelphia literally 4 days after The Showtime concert special lol.
  18. The mid-2000s is still the most mysterious and eerie phase in Britney's career. It's clear that she wanted this record to be a statement in her discography and an absolute reclamation of her artistry which at the time was strained. It had just a few producers and writers, as well, to affirm my point. 'Mona Lisa', the only confirmed track of the track, had a very eerie production to it. Is this where the album was heading? Towards a very blunt, eerie and possibly-rock oriented production at a time when Britney was being constantly plastered as a "pop puppet" and other labels in a similar vein? Or was the album not shelved, but actually developed upon, which gave us the very adored Blackout? As plausible as it may be to concur that, Blackout does feel like it's own object. The title of the shelved album and lyrical content of 'Mona Lisa' clearly suggested that this was going to be a very personal album, whilst, Blackout prefers to further itself from discussing this with the exceptions of 'Piece of Me' and 'Heaven on Earth'? What are your thoughts? It has always perplexed me but I do think it was supposed to be it's own thing. Let me know

Is Escapism coming in the US?

This 4:33 minute song independently released by RAYE has been blowing up on TikTok and is currently battling for #1 on the UK charts. It's streams are surprisingly strong in the US as well, where it is #15 on the AM pop charts and #135 on the all genre charts. Some of the songs it's outstreaming on AM include I'm Good (Blue), Made You Look, Bloody Mary, and I Ain't Worried to name a few. Is this song coming for blood in the US after the holiday season is over?
